I don't understand the concept of "ping" Please explain.

Ping is a way of calling the thread to someone's attention. By putting their name in the To: box when you post a reply, it will highlight the "New Posts to You" link in the upper right hand corner of the FR page. It turns a bright blue that you can't miss.

By clicking on it, you will see all of the posts to you on one page.

When you post a story, click on "reply to" in post one. Put in the names of those who want you to ping them in the to field. In the "your reply" field, type "ping". Click "post", you have then let those people know you have posted another story about Terri.
