24-hour Vigil Planned for Terri SchiavoFounder of Operation Rescue Joins the Vigil
Randall Terry

Posted on 10/13/2003 4:24:11 AM PDT by amdgmary

On Monday, Oct 13, at noon, family and friends of Terri Schindler-Schiavo will begin a round-the-clock vigil on at Woodside Hospice located at 6774 102nd Ave N, Pinellas Park (66th St N & 102nd Ave).

Terri is scheduled to have her feeding tube removed on Wednesday, Oct 15, at 2:00 pm. A policeman will be posted at Terri's door at the hospice in order to keep the parents out. Michael Schiavo, the husband, has ordered that the does not want family and friends near Terri.

Please join us at Woodside Hospice anytime - day or night - calling on Governor Jeb Bush to use his executive power to save Terri's life. Your presence will be welcomed for any length of time.

Please contact Gov. Jeb Bush and ask him to save Terri's life. He has the power to do so. Gov. Bush's e-mail is Jeb.Bush@MyFlorida.com and fl_governor@eog.state.fl.us. His phone number is 850-488-7146.

Randall Terry would like as many people as possible to call or send an e-mail to Gov. Bush. If you do call or send a message, please thank him for acting as "amicus curiae" (friend of the court) on behalf of Terri.

Terri is disabled, but she is not in a coma or in a persistant vegetative state. She is fully aware of her surroundings and responds to people around her. She laughs and smiles when her parents visit her. Last night, her parents told me that she says "yes", "no", "hello." This may not sound like much, but it shows that Terri is not in a coma as her husband claims. Terri also told her parents that she does not want to be starved to death.

Randall Terry of Operation Rescue will hold a press conference at noon on Monday, Oct 13th. He will also have a press conference on Tueday at noon and Wednesday at 2:00 pm. If you live in the Tampa Bay area, please join us for the vigil.

It is inconceivable that a judge has ordered the death of an innocent woman. We need to do everything in our power to help Terri.

Thank you for your support!

If Greer was elected, can he be recalled? Of course that won't help in 48 hrs., but if Terri gets any reprieve, removing this judge for good might help keep her safe.

According to this website http://m-blog.com/terrischiavo I am wondering if he can be recalled or at least removed from the case. this is what it says Incidentally, Frank Nagatani, DCF Regional Attorney is listed in Judge Greer's 1998 campaign expenditures as a recipient of a campaign contribution partial refund but is not listed anywhere in the counties and states election records or reports by his campaign as being a contributor.

Also, Judge Greer did not qualify to be on the 1998 ballot because he did not "qualify" in the statutorily prescribed 5 day period. Nor did he file his FS876.05 Oath to the laws and constitution according to it's nonexistence according to the records of where it should have been filed. Pursuant to FS876.05 (2) he has never qualified to receive compensation by his employer. Further, the county is required on behalf of the People to judicially seek the recovery of all the statutorially prohibited compensation he has already mistakenly, even criminally, received.

>b>The county will be PUBLICLY encouraged to seek recovery of unauthorized wages that this unauthorized, unqualified, and tresspassing Judge has been receiving and actions to facilitate his immediate resignation and delisting him from the payroll records and his disqualification from and prohibition from non-entitled employment related benefits resulting from his unauthorized employment. This would figure to be upwards of $600,000 based on reverse calculation of the 4 percent campaign fee he paid of the expected wages of the elected positon sought.

It's obvious that Judge Greer is but one of the many players in a game that has jeopardized and harmed the life of one of this state's citizens and should be stripped of ever being a Judge, Attorney or any other position of Public Trust -- as the law provides the Governor the authority to do. Not just a level 4 verbal and public reprimanded.

It seems to me that he is breaking at least one law if not more. If he is required by Florida law to uphold the statutes before he is elected and he doesn't then how can we expect him to after! So if he did not qualify does that mean he is was elected to his position illegally? Sorry I have not been to sleep yet, so I hope this makes sense!

I've been thinking about Michael's reasons, too. . .money + something else even darker?

Does anyone have more (w/links, pref) on what caused Terri's initial collapse in '90? "Questionable circumstances" are mentioned in articles, but I am still looking for solid info. I've seen mentions of heart attack/arrythmia; bulimia; blood sugar. Michael brought suit against her physicians -- I'll see if I can find it there.

I simply could not be barred -- this earth knows no fury like a mother protecting her children! Terri's poor mom has to be beside herself . . .

Call Jeb's Office at 850-488-4441 and ask to speak to Lauren O'Conner (Aide to Governor Bush). Let her know that by Jeb's own admission in his Amicus Memorandum that Terri is being denied due process. Let her know that Jeb as Govenor has an obligation to step in and bring a halt to Terri's execution.
Do not stop calling.

I saw this too (about Greer not filing to run for election) and have been wondering if this can be verified. If he did not follow procedures, then he is NOT a judge, and this whole thing would need to be dismissed or retried.

Does anyone know if Terri's attorneys have checked on this? Certainly it would have to be a matter of public record - how can we find out?

cyn,

Have you been to Terri's website? http://www.terrisfight.org There's a bone scan there that shows multiple traumas. A doctor has also testified that he has only seen one other neck like Terri's, and that is in the case of someone who has been strangled. I believe it was 'Judge' Greer who ruled that something that happened 12 years ago, was basically irrelevant to the issue at hand, whether Terri should be starved to death or not. In other words, there is a possibility that, in the State of Florida, a man can possibly attempt to murder his wife, and then colaborate with corrupt lawyers and 'judges' to have the State finish what he started, and be rewarded with the money he fraudulently acquired for her rehabilitation.

Heavenly Father, I pray that You would renew the efforts of those who stand watch at the vigil for Terri ... bring others alongside as the clock moves forward to the moment of her execution. Let a cry of outrage across the land be heard by those charged with the protection of its citizens, and may one brave soul step forward to stop this slaughter.

Even now, Father, the name of Terri is before the court on appeal ... even now, Father, there is an attempt to have her marriage dissolved, that she be free of a husband who would harm her, rather than protect her. We earnestly pray that these efforts will be successful ... may her attorneys speak words of conviction that come from You, and may the judge hearing these words be convicted to halt this assault on a defenseless woman. Be her defense, Father ... be her advocate ... be her shield and protector ... be her very life, for You are her Creator God.

We weep for her ... we weep for our country ... we weep for laws and judges who see nothing wrong ... stir up the people unto righteousness, I pray, and save Terri, for the sake of her humanity ... for her parents ... for each one of us, for You, alone, are God. May it be so, Lord, in the precious name of Your son, Jesus, Amen ...

Here is some info on the hospice http://becki-snow.blogspot.com/
The Board of Directors of "The Hospice of The Florida Suncoast", cannot state they are caretakers if Felos and the Hospice worked together to hasten Terri Schiavo's death from the moment she was clandestinely removed from her nursing home and brought to the Hospice by Felos.
Neither George Felos nor "The Hospice of the Florida Suncoast" have openly disclosed the facts of Terri Schiavo's case to Terri's many advocates - that from February 13, 1997 until at least April 26, 2001, George J. Felos was listed as a member or recent member of the Board of Directors for "The Hospice of The Florida Suncoast" on the non-profit's annual reports.

It seems that Felos should have been disqualified as Schiavo's lawyer. This case has alot of conflicts of interest.

I sent Governor Bush a challenge, since he is claiming there is nothing else he can legally do- I ask him to light a candle and go to the Vigil with Terri's family and supporters. Please, everyone email Gov. Bush and ALL Florida officials to light their candles and join the vigil. That way we can see how they really feel. I for one am tired of no response or lip service.
If anyone is in contact with someone at the vigil, maybe some could make posters, "Bush light your candle" or Florida Officials light your candles"
If the media picks up on this it would be so great!!!!

All,

Please call Jeb's Office at 850-488-4441 and ask to speak to Lauren O'Conner (Aide to Governor Bush).
Let her know that by Jeb's own admission in his Amicus Memorandum that Terri is being denied due process.
Let her know that Jeb as Governor has an obligation to step in and bring a halt to Terri's execution.
Among other things ask that Terri be given "Foster Care" custody status based on reports of abuse and
neglect filed on Terri's behalf" in adult protective services.

Do not stop calling.

Please spread the message!

P.S. Please do the same asking to speak to Christa Calamas to relate the same.

Hurry while the business day lasts. You can still leave a message afterwards but it would be better to be patched to
these individuals.

On the 1st monster Terri thread, this had been batted around. The cause at the time of her collapse was a heart attack, and that she had a potassium imbalance. They attributed the potassium inbalance to be from bulimia which they thought Terri had, since she had lost a significant amount of weight. That's why the jury only awarded her what they did, because they found that she was 70% responsible for her own collapse, and her doctor 30%. Upon further investigation, however, a FReeper was able to find info that a potassium imbalance can be the fight or flight response to a struggle. One of the doctors who has examined Terri said that he has seen a neck as rigid as Terri's in only one other patient, a strangulation. What we fear is that Michael may have tried to kill Terri, and in her struggle to fight him off, the potassium imbalance caused her to have a heart attack. Here's the link for the monster thread, and it was probably somewhere between 3500 and 5000 that this was discussed, but I'm not sure exactly where. If I remember correctly, freeper syriacus found the struggle information I'm referring to, but it could also have been many others (dandelion, kimmie7, or many others). Hope this helps.

Reading your post last night, it occurred to me that Felos always refers to Terri as "terminal." Never does he say she is "terminally ill."

"It is illegal for Terri to be in a hospice - hospice is for the terminally ill, and even the terminally ill are required to receive a variety of services, including speech therapy."

I believe Chapter 400 says that the services MUST be made available, not that a person has to take advantage of them.

"(4) ....THE TOTAL NUMBER OF INPATIENT DAYS FOR ALL HOSPICE PATIENTS IN ANY 12-MONTH PERIOD MAY NOT EXCEED 20 PERCENT OF THE TOTAL NUMBER OF HOSPICE DAYS FOR ALL THE HOSPICE PATIENTS OF THE LICENCED HOSPICE."

I wonder if this is why Michael moved her to other facilities?

But this sentence really gets me: "400.6095 Patient admission, assessment; plan of care; discharge; death.-- (2) Admission to a hospice program shall be made upon a diagnosis and prognosis of terminal illness by a physician licensed pursuant to chapter 458 or chapter 459 and shall be dependent on the expressed request and informed consent of the patient."

Now, how could a physician give a prognosis that this woman was in a terminal condition? Most of the time, she was not ill - & when she was, she was transferred to a medical hospital.

Mull that one over.

Well, from some of the testimony I read from the doctor Michael hired for Terri, it seems as though the doctor just takes Michael's word for everything regarding Terri's condition. Michael TOLD him therapy would do no good for Terri, so doc just accepted that - didn't bother to check for himself. So if Mikey tells doc that he's going to pull her feeding tube, I guess you could say that the doctor could, truthfully, say she is terminal.

mom, see this:

Letters to the Editor from Hospice Employees
Who Seek Terri Schindler Schiavo's Death
October, 2003

"See below for response from hospice staff member, criticizing the note below about a hospice employee and her wish that Terri Schiavo die....."

"...Those who have sued the hospice are dedicated employees who care about hospice and are outraged at the happenings going on at the hospice, with management's approval. They are certainly NOT in it for the money. The employees suing the hospice turned down thousands of dollars offered by the hospice management (if they would shut their mouths and keep quiet about the shenanigans at the hospice); the employees refused to be BOUGHT!

You say that Mary Labyak, "even Mary Labyak" cares about the patients. If she "cared," she would not be opening up the hospice to be a place to kill the NON-terminal Terri Schindler Schiavo. ****** Yes, she and the hospice administration DO have the power (and obligation by law) to refuse admission to the hospice of patients who are NOT terminal! Yet, Mary is actively cooperating in the scheme to have Terri killed at the hospice. Why? Because she does NOT care about Terri and believes hospice should be transformed into a place where "aid in dying" can be "given" to the severely disabled. Sounds so "wonderful!" ..."

"....And if you wish to see who is after the money, look at the salary of Mary Labyak and the salaries of most of the employees at the for-PROFIT subsidiary of the hospice. Millions of dollars have been transferred from the hospice itself and taken to fill the pockets of Mary, Teresa Craig and others (by overpaying them for services at the for-profit subsidiary of the nonprofit hospice). And as a side note, why are donations to the hospice paying for Teresa Craig to fly every week from Kansas to Florida, back and forth, for YEARS, and she only works a few days a week? Tell THAT to the donors! Who is after money? The greedy administrators who are misusing donated money and transferring it away from direct patient care services at the hospice (which is was donated for).

Who is after the money? Your close associate, former chairman of the board, GEORGE FELOS who has accepted much of the money intended for Terri Schiavo's care. Who else is after the money? MICHAEL SCHIAVO who is quoted as saying, "I'm going to get rich!" and "when is that bitch going to die?" No, if anyone is "after the money" it is Mary Labyak, and the gang she hangs out with, including the two convicted felons knowingly hired at the hospice to help the hospice VICE-president of Finances. - end note by Ron P]

I pray they all LOSE.
Sincerely,

Mary Lamb

[And Mary "Lamb" had also written, "Go F... yourself!" That is the type of language the caring hospice employee used! "
