The California governor's race is up for grabs and a bevy of Republicans are throwing in their hats.

But one thing is sure: If he runs, Arnold Schwarzenegger won't have the support of the conservative Reaganites who dominate the state's Republican party...

Here's a solid analysis as to whay Arnold probably wouldn't fare well with California conservatives.

The guy's got skeletons in his closet which will be exposed if he runs! That's what I think.

Maybe he's scared of the smear campaign which has already been launched against him! I just learned the other day that his father (or grandfather or great grandfather I forgot which one) was a Nazi! Not that his grandfather being a nazi has any effect on him as a person or politician... but once I heard that, I knew the first shot had been fired and the begining of a massive smear campaign was launched.

Some of his talk is untrue.

Like when he said he became a Repub in 1968 after watching Dick Nixon debate HHH. Thing is there were no Presidential debates that year.

I hate this recall election. Everyone and her cat is entering the race. Such a huge field will dilute the thrust of a single (or pair) of candidates able to hammer Davis into exile from ever holding an office of public trust again.

Since Davis loves to smear his opponents so much maybe it's better to have a lot of attackers.
