Rush Limbaugh Warns: America Could Be ‘Trending Toward Secession’
The Political Insider ^ | 12.10.20 | RUSTY WEISS

Conservative radio icon Rush Limbaugh believes the political landscape in America makes it possible that the nation is “trending toward secession.”

“I actually think that we’re trending toward secession,” Limbaugh surmised. “I see more and more people asking what in the world do we have in common with the people who live in, say, New York?”

“What is there that makes us believe that there is enough of us there to even have a chance at winning New York, especially if you’re talking about votes?”

There are a lot of purple counties.

What do you do with the liberal teacher in Omaha? The conservative guy in Sacramento? Do they just get trapped, disappeared, or what?

>> Jeeze, why can’t Rush just shut up. “America” is not heading towards secession, just Texas and 17 other states.

Those 18 states are the real America. The other states are the Soviet States of America.

Thats the point of the lawsuit. If states executive officers don’t have to follow the Constitution than neither do we. GAME ON!

I’ve been trying to tell everybody this. The “cost” of giving up your dream to dominate and dictate to others is a small price to pay to avoid the risk of civil war. In a war, you might lose. Also, you might win at a cost to you that was so great that you’d have been much better off never fighting it.

Captain Obvious strikes again.
I suppose next he will acknowledge the trend towards Civil War II, as well. /s

Tragic this is occurring during the most peaceful, prosperous, productive, luxurious time anywhere ever.

Hope we’d treat the successionists the same as we did back in 1860. Far more of us (in states that actually produce things) than them and in any case, the slimy libs are clustered in cities. Cities that have power, water, and food located OUTSIDE their boundaries.

Bring it.

honestly conservative good candidates could easily carry NY and California now if they’d only campaign for it

and if they deployed field staff and attorneys to watch the DNC vote cheating and election theft operations’’

so it would take three things, and so far (with a few exceptions) we haven’t seen any of the 3

If Texas seceded I would move there if they shipped all their Democrats to NY before they seceded. I would hate to move there only for them to have a hispanic influx and turn Democrat. Then it’s off to Wyoming.

More like the people in the blue states have domain over the red states.

Might as well use the "dominion" word for this - remind the blues that they cheat at every opportunity:
"More like the people in the blue states have dominion over the red states".

I’ve been asking for 4 years, what in hell do you do with people who hate America, hate our flag, hate white people, hate our monuments, hate our holidays, hate the cops, hate our religions, our rights, hate our freedoms etc?

And I've been saying in answer many times, you don't have to kill then all, merely kill a few in a dramatic fashion to serve as bad examples, the rest quickly become good citizens. But it must be done. I believe it will.

It was also illegal when we separated from UK. Secession failed because the North had the capacity to beat the South into submission and keep them there. That is not the case these days. Soy fags, queers and antifa types vs “the good ole boys”

If that would work, the 'blueees' would stay in the blue states and the 'redees' would stay in the red.

But, the 'blueees' have been moving away from those blue states into the red states for several decades. California, a solid blue now, was red not that long ago.

Most of the southern states are now considered to be red. Not that long ago, they were solid blue.

Secession is not the answer because the divide is not along geographical lines, as it was in the 1850s. So, how do you cut up cities, since that is where most of the 'bluees' are? East-West Berlin style?

> Unconstitutional

Name me one nation-state in all of history that thought it legal for part of its territory to declare independence.

Yep first secessionist lines drew in the Supreme Court.

Yes. Of course, one of the reasons for this conflict in the first place is that the Democrats insist on moving more and more power to the national government. Still, maybe they’d be forced to return more power to the states, and allow provisions for regional autonomy (and perhaps different provisions within the states too because often urban and non-urban differences are great). Civil disobedience and ultimately even violence — not necessarily civil war — might bring this about (as with the civil rights movement).

(When the states originally agreed to join this Union, they didn’t agree to having so much power in the national government, and most wouldn’t have joined under those conditions.)

Even if an agreement were to be reached, though, finding ways to get it to work wouldn’t be easy. Actually no solution at this point seems easy.
