Speaker Nancy Pelosi does not believe President Trump can be removed through impeachment — the only way to do it, she said this week, is to defeat him in 2020 by a margin so “big” he cannot challenge the legitimacy of a Democratic victory.
That is something she worries about.
“We have to inoculate against that, we have to be prepared for that,” Ms. Pelosi said during an interview at the Capitol on Wednesday as she discussed her concern that Mr. Trump would not give up power voluntarily if he lost re-election by a slim margin next year.
Sitting in her office with its panoramic view of the National Mall, Ms. Pelosi — the de facto head of the Democratic Party until a presidential nominee is selected in 2020 — offered Democrats her “coldblooded” plan for decisively ridding themselves of Mr. Trump: Do not get dragged into a protracted impeachment bid that will ultimately get crushed in the Republican-controlled Senate, and do not risk alienating the moderate voters who flocked to the party in 2018 by drifting too far to the left.
“Own the center left, own the mainstream,” Ms. Pelosi, 79, said.
“Our passions were for health care, bigger paychecks, cleaner government — a simple message,” Ms. Pelosi said of the 40-seat Democratic pickup last year that resulted in her second ascent to the speakership. “We did not engage in some of the other exuberances that exist in our party” — a reference to some of the most ambitious plans advocated by the left wing of her party and some 2020 candidates, including “Medicare for all” and the Green New Deal, which she has declined to support.

Not since the first campaign and election of J Q Adams over Andy Jackson has this government been so out of touch with the people.
In those days, many states did not even have a popular vote for the president. They simply had their electors appointed at the state level and cast the ballots for the president.
The result was as corrupt a government you could imagine. The establishment saw to it that the one they wanted to have put into the white house, was put in.
After Andrew Jackson was elected-the second run, the mixture of the popular vote at the state level resulted in those electors casting their vote for the candidate who won that states vote. A system that works, at least till this day. Unless the filth and scum that is the New Democrat National Socialist Party of America get what they want, by force, to change to a complete democracy or mob rule.
BTW, Andrew Jackson, even with his extreme faults, was extremely popular with the people even up to the civil war.
And yes I know, Andrew Jackson was a DEMOCRAT.
In other words, cheat and lie to the American people, as always.
She’s not worried about Trump contesting the results. Its only Democrats who challenge Presidential elections. It’s the fear of a landslide loss to Trump that is worrying her.

Only one who contests elections are democraps. They lose, they mysteriously find votes. When they can’t find votes, they make them up. When they can’t make them up, they get judges to steal the results for them.

Nothing to contest if Trump wins by a bigger margin than the degree of cheating and fraud the Democrats are set up to inflict on the nation as a whole, and in those venues where the apparent margins would seem to otherwise tilt to Republicans.
There ain’t no such thing as a “level playing field”.
So, Nancy, what’s on your mind? Stealing the election after the first count is in? Harvesting trunk loads of “misplaced” ballots, which just happen to be predominately for the Democrat, and just happen to turn key precincts to D for the electoral college? Why would that cause anyone to contest the election?
