If I remember correctly, through all of the political hype, the travel moratorium (IMHO a more accurate term than ban) is a Presidential Executive Order.
Is there any written provision in the Constitution that allows for this? There only three options open. First, accept it - not likely. Second, push a legal challenge. This is doomed to failure because it will end up, eventually, in front of the Supreme Court which will find in the President’s favor. Third, attempt to pass a new law which will not happen for decades. This would require a coordinated bill that would withstand not only Court challenges and Presidential Veto.
If you go through the latest ploy - a Presidential Impeachment - there is a long road to travel. Based on the Clinton Impeachment what’s the odds of a Republican dominated House passing the impeachment articles and the Republican dominated Senate voting for the impeachment itself.
