Donald Trump’s Colorado supporters ‘feeling demoralized’ as he battles Ted Cruz

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — It’s not easy being a Donald Trump supporter in Colorado.

Becky Mizel, a prominent Trump volunteer and former county party chairwoman in the state, was standing at the entrance to the Colorado GOP Convention, waving a slate of delegates the Trump campaign has endorsed to send to the national convention.

With her arm still in the air, she needled a volunteer tasked with setting up Trump signs outside of the arena where the convention is being held, and was upset because they went missing.

“Somebody stole them,” Mizel said under her breath, sounding irritated but unsurprised. The state party convention, she readily admitted, is not really Trump’s crowd — and that’s part of the reason she doesn’t expect much to come from the slate Saturday.

“We know we’re not going to take anything out of (the slate), but it was mostly an emotional shot in the arm for the Trump people who are here because they were feeling demoralized because nothing is here,” she told NBC News.

“Just having a table and signs made them go, ‘Oh, we’re not alone, there’s other Trump people.’ It’s more of a psychological edge,” she said.

Mizel admitted that she would be happy if they take one or two delegates. So far, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz has swept all 21 of the state’s delegates already elected at the congressional district level....

What you cannot wind at the ballot box you steal in the counting of the ballot. That is the Cruz way!

Silly Trump thought the voters decided who became the nominee. CRuz and the GOPe knows it is the GOPe who counts the ballots and the actual will of the voters do not matter.

The GOP will however cease to exist as a real political party.

I keep reading that idea or concept after a Trump win or a Dem win...

Ex: The GOPe will be destroyed, GOPe no longer exist, etc, etc...

Just how does that happen ?

The GOPe will continue to exist and the people who live in their districts will continue to send their congressman to the Congress unless they do something so egregious and immoral, it'as time to change the place holder...

Everybody hate Congress but likes their representative...

You trust MSNBC more?

You’re in a thread in their honor?

Honestly as a Trump supporter CNN is more fair to Trump than Fox no doubt

Although after OButthead took Cruz to the principals office the other nite.....

I Megyn Kelly avoids having to see her former mentor

No this is different.

The GOP is ganging up against the leading candidate in the GOP.

They are going after the heart of their very own party now.

If they pull this ... they will be alienating half of their party. Big time.

The GOP will cease to exist. “poof”.

It will be gone. Replaced by what Donald Trump is going to start. You know, the candidate who is actually winning.

If Jim didn’t want threads from there, he’d change the settings to keep it from happening.

Cruz is light-years ahead of Trump in his ground game.

Is it really Cruz, though, or is it the Establishment working with Cruz?

Cruz is now fully exposed as an Establishment Insider. He is not the SOLUTION, he is the PROBLEM Trump is trying to solve!

How will Trump solve the problem of the establishment...?

I keep hearing that and have no idea how he will do...nor do the Trump supporters.

If he wins the general he will need them to govern, since he really is clueless on how to do that...

Running a business and governing a country are too vastly different things, very different mindsets and skills, some areas do overlap...but he has already tapped into the establishment to play catch up...

He will do a lot more tapping....

In other words, it's a meaningless poll you posted...

Please explain how Trump winning is going to replace GOPe congressman in each district?

I know you understand separation of government powers concept...

The POTUS has actually very little power over individual congressman...

What is Trump going to start...

A new party ?...

Is he going to target individual districts to promote Trump supporters as candidate ...?

He can't fund them...

He’s winning at this point and if Don Trump doesn’t reach 1,237, he’s gone. Cruz is all lined up to win on the second ballot.

It is Cruz all the way from the beginning before the GOPe came courting. He was well-prepared and had read the rule book and planned accordingly. His ground game has been mentioned as superior from the start of the campaign.
