BREAKING: Romney’s campaign finance accounts reactivated for 2016 race
Christian News ^ | March 3, 2016

Posted on 03/06/2016 6:04:43 PM PST by 2ndDivisionVet

New information is surfacing about Mitt Romney and his 2016 plans following the 2012 presidential candidate's nationally-covered speech on Thursday morning.

The former Mass. Governor and Republican nominee for President spoke out against Donald Trump, calling the Republican front-runner a "phony" and "fraud." He urged Republicans to unite behind another candidate, yet declined to indicate which candidate he would be supporting.

An in-depth look at Romney's campaign finance activity, however, shows that the former candidate may be gearing up to take another shot at the White House.

In late January and early February of 2016, Romney's campaign finance entities, which by law are subject to FEC regulations, were both reactivated with amended campaign statements.

FEC records indicate that Romney's former campaign committee, Romney for President, and Romney's affiliated PAC, Romney Victory Fund, were both reactivated earlier this year, making them legally able to solicit donations and organize for his presidential campaign.

The above FEC documents can be found on the FEC websites here and here.

The Christian Times Newspaper spoke with several campaign finance professionals and campaign finance attorneys to further understand this move.

One told us that Romney "would only be making these changes" if he in fact "was going to run for President in 2016."

Another, a former McCain finance staffer indicated that this evidence shows "without a doubt" that Romney has plans to run as a Republican this year.

In the days and weeks following Romney's Trump-bashing, it will be interesting to see whether or not the 2012 candidate makes any further moves to run in 2016.

I think your issue should be with Rubio and Kasich. If they drop out, Trump or Cruz can win the required amount of delegates.

Cruz is not your problem. The 2 that have no path to winning are.

This was brought up here on FR last week. I still think it is just a procedural type of thing with the FEC because the Romney campaign has either unspent money or it has unpaid debts rather than “a secret plan for Romney and Ryan to run for the Republican nomination.” However I also think that the anti-Romney folks will seize upon anything to use to slam Romney.

Yeah...it’s been 8 years, and all they have to do is “reactivate” it?

Hmmmm.

“....and who are his masters?”

Ahhhh! THAT’s the trillion dollar question! The “top three or four” names probably doesn’t really matter all that much since there’s most certainly a whole mess of these elitists who think they have the authority to determine not only the path the United States needs to take, but think they can manipulate and control the power structure on a global level. You are correct that Romney is a tool, albeit an expensive tool, but lower in the pecking order in this demonic hierarchy. I suspect his masters all have their secret hideaway lairs they will retreat to in order to avoid the repercussions of the mess they are making, so knowing their names and whereabouts certainly would be powerful information, but difficult to obtain. There are many who would love to have that info!

Nope. Cruz is the problem. He is taking conservative votes from Trump and will never reach 1,200 delegates after losing basically every Southern state. United we stand, divided we fall.

This assures me if everything goes south, I can vote for Tyrion Lannister. He’s my favorite character.

F Cruz.
The writings on the wall.
Cruz is gonna be the tool of the establishment. He’s gonna be the guy who brings down trump. This will lead to a brokered convention and Cruz is so desperate for a place at the table he’s willing to go along with what they’re telling him. The GOPe now loves them some Cruz.
F&@K YOU Ted Cruz.

Ritt Momsey has the mormon tabernacle choir society all lubed up and ready to roll. America would never elect him if he is nominated. He would be the kiss of death. Ritt Momsey has been a curse on the Republican party.

Your ignorance is just mind-boggling.

And yet you seem to be the one that can't put-up any kind of argument at all, other then personal insults.

If insiders can leak details about secret meetings, they should be able to provide names!!

Frustrating. #NeverRomney

What is it with you people .. when has Cruz deceived YOU. NEVER!!!

How about when he advocated for more power for Obama in his article co-authored by none other than Paul Ryan or when he voted for cloture on TPA or the Corker amendment.

Or how about his supposed poison pill on Gang of Eight where he openly advocated for passage, included a 500% increase in H1b visas, and double green cards. None of that had to happen if it was truly just a poison pill.

Cruz doesn't openly oppose conservatives, he does stuff for his donors in the background.

You mean like Cruz being in private practice, law clerk to a chief justice of the supreme court and teaching school?

Ok I saw that term floating around with liberals for years and took it to be disparaging to conservatives.

Am I right?

No. Cuckservatives = "GOP-e" ... "conservative" in name, but, in practice, like a cuckold, doesn't have the balls to do anything like stand up for himself (or conservative ideals). Hence a milquetoast. Mitch McCuckold, Weepy Boehner, Paul Ryan, etc.

(From MILO YIANNOPOULOS over at Breitbart, but the term predates that over on the alt-right and manosphere.)

Well, as usual, you have skewed information that you’re all upset about.

You might try reading what Cruz SAYS, instead of listening to what the LEFT SAYS THAT CRUZ SAID (or did).
