“Schlonged.” That is what Donald Trump said Monday night, referring to President Obama’s victory over Hillary Clinton, the former senator and secretary of state, in the long battle for the 2008 presidential nomination.

Appearing at a rally in Michigan, Trump rallied his crowd by saying this: “She was favored to win, and she got schlonged.”

For those whose family newspapers don’t carry these words, or those who have, for good reason, never heard them before, the translation is exactly what you think it is. For family audiences, this means that she was the object of a sexual act by a man....

Susan is a democRAT operative but a decent commentator. And Trump as a shock-jock candidate is reasonably close to the target. But remember that shock-jock Howard Stern and Morton Downey Jr, and many others have had very successful careers. So this isn’t necessarily a deal breaker in my mind. It’s what needed to drive out the mavens of PC. Those very mavens seem to delight in poking us in the eye, it’s time that we returned the favor and Trump is merely the vehicle. His success is our success and maybe we can roll back some of the lefty stupidity.

Schlonged is just another word for the f word; it's Yiddish I think, has different meanings. He didn't use the f bomb. And "getting screwed", most people think nothing of using that colloquialism.

Call me a prude, or a traditionalist, or — hold on — conservative, but this man has no respect for the office he is seeking;

Some of the behavior of LBJ and Andrew Jackson might have fallen under that rubric as well. But it was in the wake of President Reagan and Bush the Elder that President William Jefferson Clinton threw it out in a consistent, willful manner. I'm not talking about the Lewinsky stuff either. I am talking about treating the office the way a post-sexual revolution city boss-cum-celebrity would. "Boxers or Briefs" would be the three word synopsis. Obama took it farther in every direction by throwing extra pedantry, small minded-ness, aggressive protocol blunders (Churchill bust, US DVDs to the Royals, bowing to every third world despot).

Trump is not trying to undo it. He is just trying to play by the current rules. I believe Cruz would try to incrementally undo it.
