PJ: Trump ‘Double Agent,’ Cruz ‘Dragging’ ‘Social Issues,’ ‘Hate Immigration Stuff’
Breitbart Television ^ | December 26, 2015 | Ian Hanchett

Posted on 12/26/2015 5:02:29 PM PST by 2ndDivisionVet

Author and political satirist P.J. O’Rourke stated Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump “will finally be exposed as a double agent,” criticized GOP presidential candidate Texas Senator Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) for “dragging in all these tired, sick, old social issues” and said of Cruz and Trump, “I really do hate it with this immigration stuff” on Tuesday’s broadcast of “CNN Tonight.”

O’Rourke said, “Cruz could actually get…nominated. I’m assuming that Trump will finally be exposed as a double agent, and will have to be stuck in a Chappaqua safe house, or wherever Hillary has got Bill stashed. But Cruz could actually get the nomination, and that would just be a disaster for the Republican Party. He’s dragging in all these tired, sick, old social issues, get out of here. Stop it with the stuff about the gay marriage, stop it with the — I’m a 68-year-old guy with three kids, I’m supposed to raise my own children? Come on, I need immigration.”

He added, “bring in a boring guy. Okay, Republican candidates are supposed to be boring. We’ve got several that’ll do just fine, there’s Jeb. Kasich is a perfect example, a good boring governor of a purple state, very popular governor of a purple state, lots of experience in the House of Representatives, and he’s polling at like no percent.”(continued)

>> I’m assuming that Trump will finally be exposed as a double agent <<

Finally? I thought he clearly was exposed as such during the first “undercard” debate, by C. Fiorina.

Jonah’s articles used to make me die laughing. I haven’t followed him for a little while now but he has not been popular here lately.

Thanks for the article without all the funny symbols.

Humor appeals to various funny-bones, they are not all the same. P.J.'s twisted way of looking at things, makes him a sick man and I like that in him ;-). I think this article was funny especially the boring-Kasich stuff. He is so poking fun at the Bush-Sunday Brunch-Boarding School crowd and no one sees it...

Yup. Sounds like PJ’s just being PJ. These are pretty mild barbs. People: the guy’s a humorist. And he’s not afraid of making fun of both sides.

I think Jonah, as with most of NR, is anti-Trump. I’ll be glad when this interminable primary is over with and the schisms can start healing.

Amen. I’m a Cruz firster, and Trump second.

That’s getting dangerous around here :)

I hope my address can’t be hacked lol.

PJ also has a strong libertarian streak, which makes social conservatism as juicy a target as leftism.

His last book was bad, I let that slide. But this is his `shark-jump’ moment: O’Rourke concluded, “if Donald Trump gets the nomination, if Donald Trump makes me vote for Hillary Clinton, ....”
Here’s your hat Pee, what’s your hurry?

Fiorina is on loan from some Disney animatron shed.

This is satire, almost all his work is satire. He isn't serious about preferring Jeb or Kasich, obviously. Thanks 2ndDivisionVet.

Anybody who dares criticize His Divine Majesty DT is subject to insult and attack around here — including Victor Davis Hanson, Tom Sowell, Jonah Goldberg, Mark Levin, etc. etc.

I have to go, I have a secret meeting of Cruz backers tonight lol.

Seriously though, I don’t get it.

If you like trump, and I like him, hearing his name in NYC ever since I was a kid, that’s fine.

But how do you suddenly not like Cruz?

He’s a GOOD, BRILLIANT man.

to bring up instances of double talk, Trump didn’t hold any of these positions like 14 months ago, lol.

or maybe he did. I can’t read his mind. If he wins, I hope he means what he says.

Could be. Dunno. But the fact remains that she was the first major figure to call significant attention to DT’s having sought Bill Clinton’s advice on running for the GOP nomination.

Therefore, I’ll submit that any sentient being should have known from that time forward that The Donald is likely to be some kind of “double agent” in the service of the Clintonian Dynasty.

That's a sad performance by someone I used to like a lot.

Was he trying to do a Dennis Miller impersonation? P.J. at his best was worth a dozen Dennis Millers.

I hope he was just having a bad day.
