Presidential candidate Scott Walker was at one point considered a favorite for the GOP nomination. Earlier this year, he was polling first in the race, even outperforming Jeb Bush for a brief period of time. However, in two new polls, one from ABC News/Washington Post and the other from CBS News/NYT, Governor Walker was only able to receive 2% support nationally.
Here is the Real Clear Politics graph of the 2016 Republican Primary for the past year:
Governor Walkers orange line has been consistently on the decline for months now, but this 2% support is a new low for the candidate. Experts blame his poor debate performance and bland persona in a field of giants, but regardless of the reason for the falloff, we may be seeing a Scott Walker exit in the coming months.

Walker canceled much of his schedule this past week. I had the impression he has already quit and is lingering on the announcement to make the obvious official.

Walker needs to pop out of a cake tonight.

Walker got a great post announcement bump in the polls.
However, it’s been downhill ever since.
Nice man. Good Governor. But not ready for Prime Time.

Except for the Blue and the Red, we've got kind of a reverse prism going on there at the lower right corner of this chart.

I think Walker would make an awful VP candidate. I'm sick and tired of Republican nominees picking lame VP running mates (excepting Sarah Palin, of course). What was with that Mitt Romney pick last time around? Ryan something? I can't even remember the guys name. But he was a stiff. He made Mitt Romney look like a party animal. Mitt Romney was like John Belushi to that Ryan guy.
But this Scott Walker is awful, awful, awful. He would be a boat anchor to any presidential candidate. When you are 2-3% in Iowa, and you are governor of the next state over, well, that's pretty sad.
Somebody should post Cincinnati's Wife to this thread.

With over 13 months to go, it seems premature to declare Walker out. Not sure what your beef is with Walker, and don't care.
One thing no one can deny is that Walker took on the villainous public-sector union thugs with their bottomless treasure chests and mercenary goon-squads and walked out of that battle. And that says something good about his ability to scrap with the thugs and win.

But, Georgie Will said his wife had a poll that had him in second place? Those donors Georgie was talking to are not going to be happy and he had the money spent.

Nothing personal, but I’ve noticed the posts from you about Scott Walker tend to be negative.

I’m not a Scott Walker supporter. My posts about John Ellis Bush, Lindsey Graham, Chris Christie, John Kasich and others are also negative.
