Donald Trump continues to bring comic relief and mean-spirited bombast to the Republican campaign trail. But while Trump is a continuing spectacle, he also makes (a tiny bit) more sense than his rivals when he indicts U.S. trade policies or scorns the influence of big money that turns politicians into puppets.
Nevertheless Trump, despite his current lead in the polls, isnt likely to be the Republican presidential nominee. William Galston, the Wall Street Journals designated Democratic pundit, last week suggested that there were five plausible Republican candidates Sens. Marco Rubio (Fla.) and Ted Cruz (Tex.), Govs. Scott Walker (Wis.) and John Kasich (Ohio) and dynast Jeb Bush. In the most recent edition of his 2016 candidate rankings, conservative Charles Krauthammer, while not dismissing Trump, suggests that Walker, Rubio and Bush stand in the first tier of the Republican run-off.
But these plausible Republican candidates hold views that are dramatically at odds with interests and values of the vast majority of Americans.
Take climate change. The scientific consensus that human activity is causing extreme and accelerating climate change is virtually unanimous. The Pentagon already terms it a clear and present national security threat....

Lots of wiggle room in that one simple word.

She starts out with falsehoods and false premises, then goes downhill from here. Garbage in, garbage out.
A deeply flawed essay by a panicked liberal lightweight.

I just looked and she’s about four months older than I am. I assumed she was quite a bit older.

The Dems are running a Socialist (yes capital S) and a scandal magnet who when she comes up for air from the scandals obsesses over more ways to increase the national debt and rob the taxpayers and they think the right is deeply flawed?

It’s always good to check in with WAPO to see what we should think.
Then it’s always good to think the opposite.

What does Katrina Van der Whore care what the Republican field looks like? Besides, they’ll give the old bag what she wants— socialism/fascism/communism/totalitarianism by any means possible. Most of the GOP candidates are all for socialism, as long as it has a Happy Elephant Stamp on it.

Whoo HOO!
When Katrina Komunist vanden Heuval, editor of THE NATION has wrinkles in her shorts against our field, I couldn’t be happier!
Too fun for words that only Trump can give her the vapors to such an extent that she feigns humor by calling him “comic relief”. Trust me, Kat and humor have never been seen in the same sentence. She has NOOOOO sense of humor.
