At one point, about a thousand years ago, or if you consider the Ottomans circa 1550 a proxy for “Islamic” civilization, then arguably, she is right. But the comment is a platitude at this point. Every civilization had its great moment — that is why we remember each as a civilization.
Carly has been very good and handling the media and trashing Hillary. For that reason alone I hope she hangs around for a while but I would never vote for her.

Actually, if you travel to the western side of Sicily and see the gorgeous remnants of Islamic culture, you do see why she said that. But, um, that was like close to a millennium ago.

Perry won’t get my vote. I was no fan of Romney, buy Perry’s calling him out as a crony capitalist was wrong, and ruined any respect I had for him (Perry). There was plenty to criticize about Romney, that was not one of them, and all he did was give Obama ammunition. he should stay in Texas.
OK, I’ll admit I like the numerals. I’m glad my baseball jersey was 44 and not XLXL. Other than that, their contributions have been lacking. They destroyed far more knowledge at Alexandria than they ever gave.
Muslims did not invent algebra, it was already invented before Islam took over the Arab world.
