Rand Paul: I’ll win black voters to GOP
The Boston Herald ^ | April 8, 2015 | Chris Cassidy

(VIDEO-AND-AUDIO-AT-LINK)

MILFORD, N.H. — Sen. Rand Paul claimed he’d be the Republican with the best chance of picking up black voters in the 2016 presidential campaign — and suggested a major scandal will soon threaten Democrat Hillary Clinton’s likely candidacy — during a stop here one day after announcing he’s running for the White House.

“I’ve tried to expand the Republican Party by taking the message to places Republicans haven’t gone,” Paul said yesterday when asked by the Herald whether he is the Tea Party candidate in the race. “I’ve spent the last several years going to historically black colleges, going to large major cities, going to inner city schools at a dozen cities ... going to the Urban League, talking to NAACP leaders.”

Paul wouldn’t say what separates him from the only other declared GOP candidate — Texas Sen. Ted Cruz — but said his support goes far beyond just the Tea Party.

“What you’re seeing early on with polling is when you see me polled against Hillary Clinton in purple states and in some blue states, we do better than any other Republican. We believe that’s because we attract independent voters better than any other candidate,” he said.

No state, however, may be more important to the Paul campaign than New Hampshire, which was his first stop after announcing his candidacy in Louisville, Kentucky Tuesday.

“I do think we do need to win New Hampshire,” said Paul.

Paul walked in to a packed crowd at Milford Town Hall with the driving guitars of “Frankenstein” by The Edgar Winter Group blaring and chants of “President Paul!”(continued)

If I answered a phone call from a poll like that, I would likely agree with the poll - “

Yeah....still hard to believe he’s a serial rapist extraordinaire.

Anyway, the reaction would be mostly hostile, maybe VERY hostile. But it would get attention and could start a meaningful dialogue.

Let's get a grasp on your situation here. You claimed that Cruz is pro amnesty yet
you fail to provide any documented proof of your editorialized assertion.

So now you obfuscate by changing the debate to my calling you a liar because
of your inability to provide just one simple backup, which you cannot because
it's not true.

Now that I've allowed you come this far Mr. Bookwriter, I'll let you in on
where this spin comes from, the GOP. And any MSM picking up this are taking it from
their spin also.

What you are reading are words taken completely out of context and you,
"Mr. Bookwriter" should know and fully understand the term "fact checking"
since you are in fact a Book writer.

In this video please pay very close attention to the first 2-minutes so you
can realize that either you've been played, or are part of the GOP/Walker/Paul-bot
con against Cruz.

Sen. Cruz Amendment to Immigration Legislation to Increase H-1B Visas

Lets see how much intellectual honesty "Integrity" you have after you view where
the spin you post, comes from. Also please take note that not one of those
"editorials" you linked are honest enough to link this source because it
would show them to be the hacks they are. Instead, they say what you've said,
"Disprove my Lie" in essence.

I have no more time to waste with someone who refuses to believe facts. Poster zeestephen may be able to educate you and convince you on Ted Cruz’s position on illegals. But I would advise zeestephen to not waste time on you also.

How about you answer for yourself instead of dragging another Bot into this?

I bring you the source of the discredited lie and you punt. That's not a debate.

I'll quote you on this very thread,,
Be more realistic, honest and logical, and we can have a civil debate.

I want "you" to be more Realistic, Honest, and Logical.

I’m not saying they’re not arrested - I’m saying they do time just for minor offenses.

Anyway, Rand isn’t running on drug legalization, or he’s come out for it. His problem seems to be that minorities are not in jail cells in proportion to their population. So either he wants more whites in jail (for all crimes), or, much more likely, he wants to let roughly 70 to 80 percent of the minority felons out, so as to achieve ‘equity’ with the remaining white prison population.

Either way, I have a problem with that.

Details, details. You are correct, you qualified it. I’ve yelled at people for much less.

But it still shows that roles CAN BE REVERSED, which was my main point. In 2006, the Dems came out - and the Republicans were so damn mad that Bush turned into a LIBERAL (at least on Amnesty) that they didn’t bother coming out.

Same will happen in 2016, if we’re not careful who we run.

Read your previous posts in this thread. They are not civil. You call other posters derogatory names. Obviously you were not raised properly. You have flunked my test of civility. I do not discourse with rude and uncivil posters. Good bye.

“I also agree with Bob that we should strive for an increasingly large share of the White vote, normal (non-libtard) Whites vote against their interest by voting democrat.”

Thanks. Perhaps I’m better at math than most people out there? But math WINS ELECTIONS and the math in the South, in 2014, from Georgia to New Mexico was that Hispanics very nearly SPLIT THEIR VOTES between Republicans and Democrats (Dems only got 55% of their votes, Republicans got 45%). And this was with Republicans running AGAINST Open Borders and Closing down prisons, and running FOR Voter ID.

With the Hispanics nearly splitting the vote, it came down to blacks voting 90% (at least) Democrat versus whites who voted 75-89% Republican (again, in the South). Unfortunately for Democrats, whites STILL OUTNUMBER blacks big-time and NOT A SINGLE WHITE DEMOCRAT could win in the South (actually a few...but very, very few)...the Democrat Party here in the South is virtually all minority and they are getting their butts whipped by unified white vote (hence my tag line and home page).

Now I’m not dumb - Hispanics will never split their vote where they’re radicalized, as in New York and California - but those states are lost anyway. But the ENTIRE MIDWEST, including Pennsylvania, are in play if Republicans can get even 65% of the white vote - in fact, they’ll likely win with those numbers.

So NO NEED to pander, like Mr. Paul is doing, we are STILL THE MAJORITY and if we get behind a candidate, a lot of Hispanics will follow, and we will win. We should try to reach blacks - but on OUR TERMS - terms which mean that their kids will, finally, get a decent education and not be shot at virtually every day.

Re: “You claimed that Cruz is pro amnesty yet you fail to provide any documented proof of your editorialized assertion.”

From the New York Times:

When it comes to immigration reform, Senator Ted Cruz has made it abundantly clear what he opposes: giving citizenship to people who broke the law to come here.

What has not been as evident is what he supports: legal status for millions of people here already, while making it easier for immigrants to come here through the front door.

Asked about what to do with the people here illegally, however, he stressed that he had never tried to undo the goal of allowing them to stay.

“The amendment that I introduced [to the Gang of Eight Amnesty] removed the path to citizenship, but it did not change the underlying work permit [Green Card] from the Gang of Eight,” he said during a recent visit to El Paso. Mr. Cruz also noted that he had not called for deportation or, as Mitt Romney famously advocated, self-deportation.

http://www.nytimes.com/2013/09/13/us/cruz-tries-to-claim-the-middle-ground-on-immigration.html?_r=0

From the Houston Chronicle:

“Keep in mind, if Sen. Cruz’s amendment had passed, the underlying work permit [Green Card] of the Gang Of Eight would have remained. The 11 to 12 million here living in the shadows would have been able to get a work permit, which the majority of Hispanics support over Amnesty.”

So what’s your point? Cruz is against illegals here being citizens, and future illegals.

Re: “So what’s your point? Cruz is against illegals here being citizens, and future illegals.”

My point is obvious.

Cruz wants to give Green Cards to illegals.

What's the difference between a Green Card and citizenship?

Almost nothing.

A Green Card legal resident can't vote or hold a job with a security clearance. That's it.

But, a Green Card makes you eligible for every form of state and federal welfare or subsidy. A Green Card also enables “Chain Migration,” so all your relatives can legally come to America and get Green Cards, too.

Cruz claims to oppose Chain Migration, but he has never introduced legislation to stop it. He has never gone to a Texas border town and publicly spoken against Chain Migration or anchor babies. In fact, Cruz has only been to a Texas border town three times since 2012, because he doesn't want to get publicly nailed down on supporting or opposing specific policies, like Green Cards.

The “no path to citizenship” issue is a completely bogus fallback position for every Republican who wants Amnesty.

From a legal point of view, it is very likely that the Federal Court system would reject a permanent “non-citizen” status for 12 million people.

Or, if the Courts do go along, then, before every election, there will be millions of “non-citizens” in the streets screaming “RACIST” at the Republican Party, and the politically terrified GOP will give them everything they want.

Max, I'm not clear on your personal immigration policy.

Are you indifferent to immigration?

Or, do you support massive LEGAL immigration, and huge increases in work visas, like Ted Cruz?
