When Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, was a teenager, he was caught doing teenage things, as revealed in documents obtained by BuzzFeed.
In his application to become Texas solicitor general, Cruz was required to list any prior convictions. That included one "guilty plea for minor in possession of alcohol."
Apparently when Cruz was a high school senior in 1987, authorities found an unopened case of beer in his vehicle. They gave him a ticket....

It’s a ticket, so in reality, no. But he was being “transparent” on his application.
The point is to not help the Liberals spread their slander - and make it a BIG story 0 that more people will swallow as a ‘big’ thing...
Alinsky teaches, correctly IMHO, that ridicule is mans’ most potent weapon. To which there is no effective response.
So the goal of leveraging any charge is to do it in such a way that prrempts ridicule, doesn’t give it enough time to occur and work.
So it’s not just that these charges are minor in nature. We agree that minor charges can be frightenly effective. It’s the combination of them being both minor AND occuring early enough for them (and those making them) to be ridiculed.
And early BS/easily ridiculed charges like this help innoculate against later/harder to ridicule ones because they undermine credibility. Recall Reagan’s “There you go again” line.
and then again - there are always the FR-eepers who like to ‘innocently’ post things that may be negative against a candidate not of their choice - and the ‘soft praisers’ are in this category to.
What, no Fr=eepers would/do do this?

BTW, I buy beer for the slugs in my garden.
I also buy beer to grow moss on my rocks.
BTW, I thought having an opened bottle of any alcohol in a car was a no no. News to me that an unopened bottle is trouble. Guess Ted should have drank the case of beer when he bought it and before he put it in his car.

Now, after all these years, I can confess that while a mere teenager in high school, I actually procured booze, by involving an adult known to me in deliberate contribution to the delinquency of a minor, by inducing him to buy four bottles of booze for a party some underage friends of mine and I were having. Thereafter, I transported said EVIL BOOZE to the party where it was consumed. Indeed, later on in college, shortly after I attained age 21, I actually and deliberately procured gallons of booze for underage fraternity brothers and pledges. TAKE ME AWAY BEFORE I SIN AGAIN!!

I hope cruz gets to every woman he was ever with before the media jerks do. Or maybe he was always a great guy and he doesn’t need to.

I’d be more worried if Cruz HADN’T done something like that.

My dad got invited to the cop’s party and found out most of the beer came from me. I would have rather got a ticket
