Former Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney returned to the Sunday shows almost exactly one year since he lost the election to Barack Obama, only to attack the President and call his second term into question. The former Republican politician wasted no time attacking the President over his rocky Obamacare roll out during his appearance on NBC's Meet the Press. "The president failed to learn the lessons that came from the experience in Massachusetts," Romney said, repeating that he thinks a state-by-state healthcare plan would work better.
Romney then launched into a greater attack on the President's "you can keep your insurance" controversy. "Perhaps the most important lesson the president, I think, failed to learn was, you have to tell the American people the truth," he said. "And when he told the American people that you could keep your health insurance if you wanted to keep that plan, period, he said that time and again, he wasn't telling the truth. And I think that fundamental dishonesty has really put in peril the whole foundation of his second term." Romney thinks the guy elected to lead the country instead of him is no longer fit to lead. "The fact that the president sold it on a basis that was not true has undermined the foundation of his second term. I think it's rotting it away," Romney said. "We've got to have a president that can lead, and right now he's not able to do so." The former Massachusetts governor also praised Chris Christie.....

He's an advocate of small tyranny.
Wish he’d go away and take McCain with him.
Go away, loser.
Mitt needs to go back to whatever it was he has been doing since the 2012 election results came out. We’ve got this Mitt!
Romney: “I could have done socialism better.”
Which is probably true.
Mittens needs to shut up and go home. He and McCain can play Canasta.
You know Obama was lying during the election. You chose to keep your mouth shut. So don’t come around now calling “liar”. We needed you a year ago. We don’t need you now.
I wish this lying sack of crap would be jailed or deported back to Mexico. Everything Obama is doing to us, he learned from Romney.
I'm not MItt guy, and I don't think Romney Care is a good idea or ever was
.but our Founders professed a profound difference in local versus centralized Federal govermmnet
.
Amen brother.
To hell with all RINOs. Cruz control to 2016. Drink hot Tea commies.
Me neither. But I voted for him anyway.
I voted against Obama, not for Mitt.
Go away, Mutt!
Ditto.
Oh I did too .for all of Mitt’s many many faults I don’t think he had any interest in doing Obamacare for the entire nation. For all the talk about the “similarities” - there are many more differences. Going from one tiny somewhat homogenous state to a massive country can not be translated in any similar manner whatsoever .
Yes, point taken .
“I’m not MItt guy, and I don’t think Romney Care is a good idea or ever was .but our Founders professed a profound difference in local versus centralized Federal govermmnet .”
You are right about that. If a state wanted to implement a system like this then fine, do so. I may not like it but I could move. When the law becomes national that move becomes more problematic.
The issue with Obamacare is that it is a bad law - even if it worked it would still be a bad law. This is a difficult argument to make to leftist at times but I feel I must try at least occasionally to do so. People should not be against the law because it is implemented poorly; they should be against it because it is intrusive, violates the right of association, is a power not specifically vested in the Federal government and thus a state issue, it seems to me it potentially violates the interstate commerce clause, is a tax bill that did not originate in the house and probably several other issues that I am leaving out. The fact that it does not work is almost beside the point though is helpful in getting rid of the law.
