Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott is rolling out the welcome mat for New Yorkers who would like to keep their gunsand their money.
Abbott used his campaign money to produce and place ads on media websites in New York City and Albany encouraging residents to move to Texas. Why? To avoid the severe gun restrictions put into place by New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, as well as the high income taxes of the Empire State.
One ad reads: "WANTED: Law abiding New York gun owners seeking lower taxes and greater opportunities." If the viewer clicks on the ad, the link goes to a Facebook page extolling the advantages of moving to Texas, such as the lack of an income tax which would enable people to keep more of what you earn and use that extra money to buy more ammo."
Abbott minced no words courting New Yorkers, saying:
Texas is better than New York, and New York just gave us another excuse to say that

And the geographic polarization intensifies. Welfare queens have been immigrating to deep blue states for 70 years, while the more productive have fled.
already tonight I am thinking about going back to Alexandria LA. Looking at property now. Good prices and just think I don’t have to pay the 10,000 a year in taxes on a 200,000 home (and this is upstate NY folks)
10K per year on a 200K home?? you serious?? WOW, Why would anybody live there in the first place with taxes like that. No wonder they want your guns, the Sheeple should have revolted a Long time ago.

That’s actually a good thing though. Keep all the morons in blue states and keep away from red states. That’s why the TX officials should have their heads examined and not allow more yankees into red territory.
And for extra fun, invite the Remington and Kimber manufacturers to relocate to Texas. Invite Colt to leave Connecticut too. Ruger left the NE for Arizona and has had great success.
You must be an Obama lover. After all, you are an American, and Americans elected Obama.
I hope you are happy with your presidential choice, moronic though it may be.

Just because someone is born somewhere doesn’t mean they are going to feel at home there. I was born in New York, but I knew in my heart that I didn’t belong there. So, after I left the military, I decided to stay where I felt at home — the Great Lone Star State.
I have met more than a couple of people here in Texas that should go back to where I originally came from.
Aint Texas great. I have a timber/ag exemption on 20 acres down the street and pay $228 taxes. My house with the homestead exemption is less than 350. My daughter bought a forclosure up the block and will pay 835 but come May she’ll protest her taxes on the lower appraisal value, plus the homestead exemption.
Plus no city wage tax or state income tax. What is there not to love.
Texan by choice and loving it.
Exactly. Bring some of your New York foods and gun factories, and leave the nanny state crap, unions, and bribery corruption behind.
CIDC approves deal with French auto parts maker
A French-based auto parts manufacturer looking to gain a foothold in the U.S. purchased 14 acres in Conroes industrial park Thursday.
If Texas is going to give New Yorkers amnesty I would require they bring a copy of their voting record along with their weapons and plenty of ammo.

How about a DD-214 and proof that someone worked at Reagan’s campaign headquarters....LOL.
Sayyyyy,,, not a bad idea. Ie,, “Welcome to the Lone Star State. You were registered as a republican at least, and not a union member, right?”
Of course.
“Ok, then the final test is that we need you to step over to this urinal with the Obama photo in it.”
I really dislike you guys. I get stuck with over $4000 on 5 acres. It seems the state comptroller decided that my county is a "rich" county, so we should pay more for the other counties. Robin Hood is alive and well in Texas.
My first experience with hard-core yankees was basic training in 1980. Lackland AFB.
I had climbed out of the bottom of a ditch where my daddy's company was doing a mechancial construction job... and it was 120F at the bottom of that ditch.
I told the foreman to drop me off at the AF recruiter's office.
I went from there to AAFES and San Antonio. It was only 105F down there that year.
Yankees were melting like butter.
During one discussion about some holes near the drill field, another Texan and I decided that yes, it was an armadillo. Yankees insisted that was just a cartoon character.
I'm not sure it's safe down here for yankees. If it ain't got a stinger in it's tail, it's got one in it's mouth.
