He also laid out his five-point plan to create 12 million jobs in the United States.

Nailed it in a way I never expected. It made me proud to be on the side of the aisle I am on, and I haven’t felt that for a long time.

No, it doesn’t offend me. Tough. I’ll still happily vote for him over Obama. I’m sorry that offends you...

I don’t think Romney is not a “Rah Rah” guy so if that was the expectation, you probably feel it didn’t cross your threshold. I think Romney is “action” guy who is better once he gets his hands on a task. That being said, I think he got the job done. 5-7 point bump?

I thought it was a solid, Reaganesque speech in that Romney made a clear and compelling case for former Obama voters to vote for a cause they can believe in. His cleverest device was to contrast Obama's 2008 pledge to "heal the planet and stem the rise of the oceans" with a simple and believable "I promise to help you and your family."

Romney's speech was not aimed solely at the Convention delegates or at people like me who have already decided to vote for him. It was targeted at voters who might still be on the fence, or who are disillusioned with Obama and perhaps not even planning to vote. Reagan turned this country around with energized majorities that included such voters - people who now comprise much of today's solid Conservative base. I think this is a wise and winning strategy.

Why would that offend me? I’m not his brother. I’m going to vote for him, because the alternative is unthinkable. I worked for President Reagan and this guy is no Ronald Reagan, but then again, he’s no Barack Obama, either, and that’s enough. He can’t really disappoint me, because I have no big hopes for him. As long as he tries to swing the ship of state back around towards capitalism, I’ll be happy.

His speech showed clearly why need a adult and a real American to be in the put house and why the Kenyan clown was a bad choice.

It’s nothing new for me. All politicians are creepy to me. Even Reagan.

Actually McCain’s speech made me fall asleep, at least Romney kept me wide awake. Romney wants to win, so does Paul Ryan, I think putting Ryan on the ticket was the best decision. Ryan brings energy to this ticket

I thought it was good, not great. I really don’t care about what he says, it what he actually does. However, I wanted more about BO’s share the wealth vision vs capitalism and how that is what has made the country great. How about comparing BO’s visions of shared prosperity with the Soviet Union. Some need to be educated about this.

I thought it was great. I got to know Romney a little better. I have more faith in him and think he will make a good President.

Even yourself. Because that's what you're trying to project.

He literally said he’s going to help my family. Really. My family cannot take any more “help” from these bastards.

Speech was great, moreover the man behind it was revealed to be a great human being, a man of accomplishment who has lived his life well and successfully. What more can you ask for in a President? With Romney, there will be no “didn’t inhale”, no bimbo eruptions, no hidden secrets of everything from birth through college. Above all, he is a capitalist, and a damned good one, not some communist sympathizer whose world view includes making America a diminished nation and “spreading the wealth around”.

To those who are “creeped out” by some nuance of his appearance - well, “that’s tough” indeed. I suppose some thought Reagan’s hair was too wavy, or George Washington’s wig wasn’t powdered white enough. I mean for crying out loud!

Mitt Romney is Presidential, and showed tonight that he will be a great President.

Excellent speech and his entrance was just so perfect. Anybody else realize it looked like he was the president coming in for the state of the union address? I loved it.

Think Romney turned zero’s “soaring rhetoric” into a liability. HAH - because that’s pretty much all zero has left other than outright bribes from the public treasury.
