Sorry for the lag.

Not a problem. I can empathize about the high maintenance users.
A lot of good jokes on the 2nd hundred.
696 threads this year. Quite a few more than last year. Only 438 last year.

You are -
A few clowns short of a circus.
An experiment in Artificial Stupidity.
All foam, no beer.
An intellect rivaled only by garden tools.
Proof that evolution CAN go in reverse.

Perfectly describes the member of the Delaware House of Representatives I locked horns with Tuesday evening. Actually it also perfectly describes the governor of Delaware as well.

I am so glad I moved from that state. Now I can go back, cause grief in the capitol and not worry about repercussions!!!!!!

I haven't had any painkillers this morning so I am feeling, at least, a little clearer headed.
So what's new on the Gabz home front?

Glad to hear it.

I was trapped in Delaware this week because of the bloody rain. I had planned on coming home thursday but got stuck until yesterday. Not that it really mattered, because I wouldn't have been able to do anything here either, because it was rianing.

I'm so sick and tired of rain.

I needed the little bit of a 'vacation' - I actually did nothing all day Wednesday and Thursday - so now I'm ready to attack and get the painting done around here - if it ever stops raining!!!!!

Hi, Gabz, happy painting! Did your hubby have any ideas on that little deck I want to build? We just bought a boat, so now the need for places to sit, launch and party on the water begin to assume added importance.....

Sorry for not getting back with you about your deck.

Neither one of us was really able to come up with anything for you.

If you've got a picture of where you are planning it for that would help. My email is on my profile page.

He's got our upper deck built - it just doesn't have a staircase to get to it yet!!! He's really pleased with himself over it - there is just some scrap lumber left over, he figured how much he needed practically to the T!!!!!

Thanks, Gabz. I know what you mean about stairs, because I can't take a picture of the pklace I want the observation deck until I can get down there on something besides a rappeling rope, which I have already done twice and am not in a hurry to do again. Your deck sounds great-you've got to post a picture when it is done.

The next door neighbors outdid themselves last night, and most of their guests are still there, starting up again. I should hear/see some really interesting stuff while I am barbecuing ribs tonite on the side deck facing them, but I'm going to put a blindfold on my husband. Yesterday evening, my son-in-law was finishing a deck railing they paid him to replace, and my daughter was there helping him, when the guests began arriving about an hour before dark. She collected her husband and his check and hustled them out of there in record time-it seems that the first party arrivals were all women, and they immediatly began shedding their clothes to go "skinny dipping"! She told hubby and I about it, and I'll be damned if he didn't find at least four reasons to go out there to steal a peek! He did say they were all too heavy and not that attractive, though. I'm really beginning to wish we had put up a privacy fence on that side of the property, instead of game/livestock fencing. Unfortunately, to do it now would be insulting to them-aside from their party habits, they are very nice people.

And so goes another annual thread.
This is probably your last chance to bookmark this thread for future use so don't get caught with your goods hanging out.

Last smokers' bump ping to this thread.
I'll now say, "Good night, all."
