A letter to President Bush from Women for a Free Iraq:
February 27, 2003
Dear President Bush:
As women from Iraq who fled our homeland to escape persecution by Saddam Husseins regime, we write to offer our support for your principled leadership. We applaud your determination to disarm Saddam and your commitment to help liberate the people of Iraq. We are daughters, mothers, wives, and sisters whose families and communities have suffered for too long. We stand with you because only the United States and its allies can help the people of Iraq break free from Saddams 34 years of brutal rule.
Those who have taken to the streets with signs reading, No War on Iraq are misled. It is Saddam who has been waging war on the people of Iraq. Every day that this war continues, more of our brothers and sisters will suffer from Saddams totalitarian and racist policies.

:-) Good morning. I think our nice weather is expected sometime this weekend. I have never been so excited about getting dirt under my nails....I can't wait. :-)
Last night we got just enough snow to make the road extremely dangerous. When I picked Sarah up from work. In a matter of 30 minutes at least 2 cars were seen off the road.

I like your idea of balancing the news of the day with having a life. It's hard to imagine that the world can manage without my input. :-)

Wonderful opening. You do a very good job.
Good morning to all. I'm trying to be patient thinking this delay must indicate something going on behind the scenes.
And then I read an article which indicates that negotiations are in progress to try to induce some Iraqi miliatry to "surrender" before the war begins. It would be nice if that were to happen.
Guennie, I echo you prayers.
PS. I have malaria. AGAIN!

Reasons not to mess with the U.S.During the 1991 Gulf War, only nine percent of bombs dropped were precision-guided. Today, 70 percent of the Air Force's bombs are precision-targeted day and night, as well as in all weather.

Yes, there are and I have a very light case right now. I feel guilty for taking the time off, but then again, I have a reputation to live down to. Goldbricking is an art, ya' know.
I have a backload of personal business which needs addressing and so, if I'm not to light-headed from the meds, I'll take advantage of it.
Gotta go. I just finished getting things ready for my sub and now I want to scoot before students arrive.
