Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

My mom got a card and had it signed by her Sunday school class and I sent it. It means a lot to him. That's a good idea! Mind if I steal it?

WOW! What a sight to walk into this morning! LOL!!
Let me get breakfast on since Becky is here with me today and will make hanging out in the Hobbit Hole darn near impossible. She and I will have some cookies later though, so I can't complain too much. *grin*
Pancakes with maple syrup, 7 platters of bacon, fried ham strips and sausage patties, sausage gravy, fresh baked buttermilk biscuits, grits and hash browns. Coffee is ready and juices are chilled.
I don't have time to catch up right now, bit I will try to later in the day. :)
I"m off to color with Becky!

Remember that pic of Saruman on the spikey wheel?
Well, my daughter and I went to see TTT last night after church. I was thinking about the spikey wheel during the shots of Isengard. I am wondering if the spikey wheel is at Isengard, the whole place is flooded, remember?
I guess the water could have receded by then.

Ummmm...I hate to tell you this but the facts here do not entirely rule out slap-happy-insanity. There are other symptoms that may yet indicate that condition ;-}

If Helen is supposed to be the most beautiful woman in the world, then shouldn't they have gotten a beautiful woman to portray her?LOL!! SSQ was watching it while on the treadmill the other night. I came in and saw the very end of it. That's what I asked him; she is supposed to be a beautiful woman? I guess they were on a low budget and couldn't get any big name stars, but surely there must have been lovelier women than she in the pool of available actresses!
I know, Meooowwww!
To: Corin Stormhands
LOL!
I understand! There are many here to whom a person would be ill-advised to admit they were in league with ME!
Something about our field of endeavor: it yields that sort of thing in quantity.

Don't know about the spikey wheel. But have you guys noticed you can now run your cursor over someone's screen name (at the end of a post) and get their sign on date?

I'm pretty sure I was here in early 1998, but can't recall for sure. May have been early 1999. But I don't dare go and ask them to change anything on my account...
To: Corin Stormhands; ksen
Nope, I think I was completely wrong about the date. Ward Smythe still has a homepage (although I can't access the account) that says member since January 14, 2000. That was my original date under my first name. When I changed to Ward Smythe, JR did it administratively and changed all my old posts...
