Ahoy mateys, please check in here at the unofficial Pirate Chapter of Free Republic if you were at Friva and saw the Pirate Invasion at least one time while at the Treasure Island Resort.

Even though I could spot some of you unsavory pirates from across a room, I didn't bother to scribble your screen names on any of my numerous receipts from Vegas.

The good news is that my camera's fine now. I just purchased shoddy batteries in Reno. IT FIGURES with a name like that.

I'll bookmark this thread and post here occasionally because Jeb Bush doesn't need me full time. LOL

I make a motion that we have no issues or ping list. What more could you want in a chapter?

If you had a bad day at the office, drop by the Pirate Thread and just try to get our undivided attention.

And, finally, I make a motion that we don't take any guff from the bandwidth police. We'll sink their battleship if they try anything.

Yes, I remember your dry sense of humor because everything was dry at Buccaneer Bay at 115 degrees! LOL

And, my brain was toast later Sunday evening winding down to fly out.

You'd never know that I attended a public speaking course just Saturday. I was babbling incoherently Sunday night - at least my friend from Vegas was laughing right along with me..........(or at me). FV

Well, then you can be in charge of the brig, big enough to hold everyone who will eventually walk the plank on this thread on the spur of the moment! Even pirate ships need to have a brig IMO.

When you want someone special to walk the plank,let me know, and we'll find their picture and put it on the thread. That will be fun and not labor intensive. One a week sounds doable.

I'm setting sail - back later to exchange pirate tales.

Nay, lassie, on pirate ships it's either lashes or the plank. No puttin' behind bars for a free spirited pirate crew.
You just want to give them something to think about or do away with 'em for good, not break their spirit!

We had a discussion at the Battle Bar and again at the Cafe Terrace about Pirate Names. I think I remember the screen name "Lusty Wench" being discussed.

Saw the show twice - once from the Brit side and the other time from the crosswalk. Better at night, but goodness... I thought I saw Stede Bonnett on that pirate ship. When I left Charleston he was being held prisoner there!
