The story behind "Poor Dad's Casserole" can be told but only if asked for.
The recipe is easy, fast and cheap.
Cream of mushroom soup, little smokey sausages, green beans, salt and pepper, hot sauce (optional).
Take a rectangular 9"X13" casserole dish, layer with grean beans then little smokeys then cream of mushroom soup straight from the can. Salt and pepper to taste, add several dashes of hot sauce if wanted. Layer again in same order.
Cover with tin foil (or equivalent), cook at 325 degrees for about 20 minutes. Serve with crackers or chips as a side.
Cheap, easy, fast, and the kids will eat it.
Makes about 5-7 servings.
