Soccer is a sport for Eurotrash and the liberals who admire them. I care more about the NBA championship and baseball than I do about that Gay sport.

No offense.

Hmmmm.....don't think I can work that into my schedule. I believe that may be the time Art Bell has some aliens on who are recruiting volunteers for anal probes. :o)

I guess it wouldn't hurt to turn on the TV and watch a few minutes of the match though. 'Might cure my insomia.

Great...I finally happen to be in the same time zone as the World Cup (Japan), and the US-South Korea game is NOT going to be broadcast on local TV. Guess I'll have to catch the highlights show.

Did you watch Korea's first match? Though the Koreans are not generally considered a strong side, I think the US team will be in for quite a fight if the Koreans show the same hustle they did against Poland.

I'll be watching, just like the last game. But, it comes on at 2:20am here. Then again, I don't have to work tomorrow.

The real action will be in the streets after the game if the US beats S Korea. Look for rioting, anti US students to go mad.

When the star players come from the University of Georgia and are named Bubba, I'll watch.

If soccer were a sport, I might watch it. Soccer was invented so third world countries could play a game too. The main reason is that all you really need is a ball. Before you soccer heads go off on me, I don't consider baseball a sport any more either. First, you spend half of the game sitting down and watching. Then you go out into the field to participate and you stand around waiting for the ball to eventually come to you. Then you take most of the year off to spend your millions of dollars. Don't even get me started on GOLF: Any game where you try and achieve the LOWEST score is not a sport. I have more examples...but this is going off topic.

Not bragging. I might be the only person in America to have seen every live game available on TV. I have recorded each. I just love pure football. I have done this for the last 3 events, 12 year.

Ok, there are some bummer games, but the good ones I have on tape are priceless.

Prediction: US 3, S. Korea 1

South Korea is nothing more than a good club team. They are not good enough to go out individually to the European or other leagues or they would.

Tomorrow, it will be all over the papers, US makes the sweet 16. Take it to the bank.

Columbus Crew stadium is open free to watch on the big screen. They had 3000 for the Portugal match. All concessions available except beer.

I watched England vs. Argentina on ABC on Saturday afternoon, and it was pretty exciting. The first time I’ve ever watched soccer match all the way through. David Beckham rules!

And as for people who say soccer = boring, please remember that watching paint dry = golfing. Tiger Woods is tremendously talented, but just have him play the game, then report the scores back to us. Don’t make us watch.

I can't figure out why if golf is an American obsession that soccer can't also be one.

It is an easy sport to rip. But being a former player it takes a lot to run around for 90 minutes wiht few breaks. At least if USA loses we will not be burning everything in site. Not to mention killing people. Will we?
