Democrats’ “Affordability” Hoax Comes into Full View
AMAC Newsline ^ | 5 Nov, 2026 | Shane Harris

It didn’t take long for Democrats to drop the mask and reveal that they have no real intention of delivering on the “affordability” promises that filled their campaign ads. Their real agenda? Endless political witch hunts and pointless impeachments.

It’s no secret that Democrats are downright giddy at the prospect of retaking full control of Congress. But what they seem to be most excited about is using their subpoena and investigatory powers to harass and frustrate not just President Donald Trump, but the entire executive branch, Big Tech executives, Republican donors, and anyone else who gets in their way.

As it became clear that Democrats would win the House, Rep. Robert Garcia (D-CA), who now looks set to become chair of the House Oversight Committee, posted on X, “LAWYER UP.” Other Democrats echoed that message, with Oregon Senator Ron Wyden issuing a post that simply read “Subpoenas.”

Massachusetts Senator Ed Markey, meanwhile, declared that “they are going to need to plant new forests for all of the subpoenas we’ll be printing,” and Rep. Delia Ramirez (D-IL) rattled off a list of Trump administration officials that should expect to be hauled before Congress. Democrats reportedly have even already put out job postings for investigators.

Far-left activist and podcaster Hasan Piker was even more explicit, posting on X, “WE'RE GONNA PUT YOUR A$$ IN JAIL EVERYONE GET MORE WOKE RIGHT NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” His threat appeared to be directed at every conservative, rather than just members of the Trump administration. Piker is notably close with incoming Michigan Democrat Senator Abdul El-Sayed, along with several other socialist candidates who won this week. It is likely that Piker will continue to have their ear in Congress and could hold sway over how the new Democrat majorities wield their investigatory powers.

Americans can expect talk of a third Trump impeachment to begin almost immediately, and especially after Democrats officially retake power in January. Secretary of War Pete Hegseth is also a top target, along with Department of Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin. Of course, while impeachment in the House requires only a simple majority vote, conviction and removal from office in the Senate requires 67 senators, a number Democrats are still well short of.

So, in short, any impeachments will yet again be nothing more than political theater. The first two Trump impeachments cost an estimated $13.4 million, and that’s not to mention the hidden costs of wasting time that could be spent legislating on performative political witch hunts. The party that promised “affordability” is going to spend most of the next two years abusing its power to exact revenge on their enemies – and it won’t do a thing to lower costs for anyone.

None of this should come as a surprise to Americans who could read between the lines leading up to Election Day. As AMAC Newsline reported all the way back in September, Democrats have not done a very good job of hiding that their number one priority is vengeance. Even before the midterms, Texas Democrat Rep. Al Green forced yet another impeachment vote against Trump (it failed). Shortly after that vote, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries – soon to be Speaker of the House Hakeem Jeffries – stated that he “hadn’t ruled anything out in terms of impeachment.” Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD) has also called impeachment “a critical tool in the toolbox” for Democrats.

Moreover, not a single Democrat who won on Tuesday made a compelling case that their party has a plan to lower costs.

We are just a few years removed from the last Democrat trifecta – when inflation soared above nine percent and fuel costs were, adjusting for inflation, far higher than they are today. There is no indication that Democrats have changed their agenda at all. If anything, it has only become more radical. One of Democrats’ greatest legislative ambitions is “Medicare for All,” which would cost literally trillions of dollars, in addition to turning the American healthcare system into a Canadian-style disaster.

So don’t expect much price relief from a Democrat Congress. To the extent that prices do come down, it will be thanks to executive action from the Trump administration. Democrats simply do not have a platform that is at all conducive to economic prosperity.

The good news for Democrats is that their “affordability” hoax seems to have worked. But whether they can maintain the charade long enough to secure lasting power remains an open question.

Who cares about affordability when there are political enemies to punish.

The public is irredeemably stupid, and there is always Trump to blame. Get ready for president AOC.

They don’t intend to fix or even improve anything. They want power and are terrified when they don’t have it. Why? Because they project their evil intent onto others. When have you heard any Republicans threaten democrats like they threaten us? I fear something may pop off if we aren’t careful.

The good news for Democrats is that their “affordability” hoax seems to have worked.

And, sadly, some R politicians engaged with them as though it was a bona fide issue.

Just my own observation over nearly 80 years, maybe 15% of folks have a clue. The rest? Sometimes I’m not sure how they get by day to day.. 😠🙏👍🇺🇸

They can’t lower “fuel costs” since they are against drilling , fracking, and building refineries , pipe lines , or nuclear power plants
As far as inflation goes they want more spending

I kept screaming about this to my family, including the lefties - how were Democrats planning on lowering costs.

I don't recall a single journalist asking a single Democrat candidate this question, only letting them rattle on about how Americans are suffering and the cost of living - and Trump - need to be brought down.

Of course, they'll blame Trump when their plans go awry, as they always do.

For anyone with a handful of functional brain cells this isn’t exactly breaking news.

It pains me to say this but during covid it was made abundantly clear to me how flat out stupid a lot of Americans are.

The unaffordability is simple supply/demand. Import a bunch of parasites who get subsidized (i.e., 20M illegal aliens, 50M visa holders)and all prices spike.

Affordability is a real issue and Democrats used it to gain power.

Republicans lost because they they didn't take the issue seriously. As evidence by this piece, they still don't.

To do what? And with what authority? The Democrats are going to blow their chance over the next 16 months or so...and yes, that’s all they really have. If they engage in this theater again the voters will annihilate them in 28. People were not voting to get Donald and gang.

So what this is saying is that when it comes to actual producing, the Democrats have nothing to show.

“Moreover, not a single Democrat who won on Tuesday made a compelling case that their party has a plan to lower costs.”

Seems like what this could be saying is that most(maybe not all) Democrats have no kind of plan at all. They don’t have to say that all they wish to do is to make it tough on Republicans because everyone knows that. However, that is not a plan for running our country in any kind of efficient way.

I fear something may pop off if we aren’t careful.

It desperately needs to. The things they are saying are the textbook definition of a tyrannical government. But we all know the Founder-approved remedy won’t happen because the average American today is too comfortable, too cowardly, and it takes a massive organized effort, led by patriotic state officials, not some individual would-be vigilantes. But were it to happen in the proper way, it would be entirely warranted at this stage.

Whether people want to believe it or not, we’re now at the point where the very imminent next step by the left is stealing businesses from Americans and imprisoning or executing the ones they despise most. The only remaining question is whether it will be the imported jihadist muslims or the home-grown communists who will get the first crack at it.

They’re already gleefully threatening to destroy Elon Musk and the incredible businesses he has built, just for the “sin” of being a Republican. Just that threat alone is now demolishing the stock prices of both, before these ghouls have even taken office. Once in, they will not stop until their “investigations” and leftist judges have eliminated every last vestige of these amazing companies, or if the more “reasonable” ones somehow prevail, they may only nationalize those businesses. They only need to win the White House in two very short years to achieve all of this, but in the meantime they will still do enormous damage not only to Elon and his companies, but to those of anyone else who opposed them. Don’t forget that even before they (likely) gain the presidency, they have already been handed total control over several vital state governments, none more important than Texas.

If you can still sit in your comfy recliner and tell yourself soothing lies in the face of this enormous and imminent evil, then you have no idea where we now find ourselves in the arc of this nation’s history, and have no right to act surprised when they quite literally show up at YOUR door to drag you off to prison, or worse. If you’re lucky, they may only look the other way while their “Antifa” brown shirts have their way with you and your life. Absent an organized response, this nation is finished, literally this time.

And as for those “Republicans” who apparently voted FOR these demons because you were having a little stompy-fit over gas prices or because you bought into the absurd conspiratorial Jew hatred: You just sold your country out. It would be better for you if you just walk into the ocean right now. At least that would be a noble action in response to your treason.

And yes, it IS that serious.
