🚨 WOW! The CEO of AUDI just came on stage with President Trump to confirm a multi-BILLION dollar auto manufacturing investment in Georgia
"We are planning to bring are biggest and most premium SUVs, and produce them here in MACON, GEORGIA."
CROWD: "TRUMP! TRUMP! TRUMP!"
This is monumental! 🇺🇸
That thing the Democrats and "experts" said was impossible, HAPPENED AGAIN

Tariffs do work. Either that or the American worker accept lower wages and standards for labor.
(I can just imagine the DSA drooling at the idea of another factory where they can “seize the means of production”. At least Georgia is a right to work state.)
How will this fit into “Professor AOC’s length of years left,,,?””
GREAT!
GREAT!
See the list of dozens of companies and countries (As of March 2026) investing/re-shoring in the US.
We're talking trillions of $.

Outstanding!
Macon, GA is about 90 minutes or less (depends on how bad the traffic on 75 is) south of metro ATL.
Downtown Macon has great history and potential for a rebirth, but has become a rundown blue crime haven in the quite small city center. Surrounding is quite nice.
Now it is flat mostly, has a decent river running through it, and has some rolling hills, but I expect the German employees will find it intolerantly hot in the summer and will come to visit us up the Blue Ridge, about 3-4 hours’ drive north.
Macon is also not too long an American drive from both the GA/SC Atlantic OR the Florida panhandle coasts.
Well-served by interstates and rail.
Bonus - the Porsche-America HQ and owner experience center is located at the east end of ATL airport, up 75 from Macon.
Actually SW of Macon, near Fort Valley, GA where the Blue Bird school bus factory is located, NOT Macon proper.
Southwest of Macon (in Peach County, near Fort Valley / eastern outskirts of Fort Valley). The plant will be at the ~1,474-acre Middle Georgia Megasite along Georgia Highway 96 (north side), roughly 5 miles west of I-75, on the eastern outskirts of Fort Valley in Peach County. It is described as a short drive from Macon and about 20 minutes from Perry (where the announcement rally was held).Key details from reports and local development sources:
Site coordinates are listed around 32.5669, -83.8492.
It is west of I-75, with frontage on GA-96; access is near I-75 Exit 142 and other nearby exits.
Fort Valley itself is roughly 25–30 miles southwest of Macon (driving distance ~27 miles).
The project involves a regional partnership of Peach, Macon-Bibb, and Houston counties via the Mid-Georgia Gateway Joint Development Authority. The site is in Peach County, but economic benefits are expected to extend across Middle Georgia.
ADDENDUM - FWIW, there’s a REALLY nice BUC-EEs at the Warner Robbins exit there ;-)
Great, you say? Audi’s I’ve driven were great to drive if all was right on them, but any maintenance or repairs needed would be more than the average person could afford. What I’m hearing nowadays is that it would just not pay trying to build a German car here without some massive engineering & manufacturing changes.
I would wager that part of the appeal to Audi and the German gummint is the huge solar farm about 20 minutes south of that location, visible along I-75.
The most prominent large solar farm right along I-75 south of Atlanta is the Houston Solar Project (also called SR Perry) in Houston County, near Elko/Perry.Key details on the Houston Solar Project
Size: 68 MW (about 225,000 panels), covering roughly 700–705 acres.
Location: Off Firetower Road in south Houston County (near Elko, just outside Perry). It sits perpendicular to I-75 and is highly visible from the highway.
Operator/developer: Silicon Ranch, in partnership with Green Power EMC. It supplies power shared across many Georgia EMCs (enough for roughly 11,000 homes).
Notable features: It uses agrivoltaics—hundreds to over 1,000 sheep graze under and around the panels for vegetation management (a “regenerative energy” approach). There’s also a digital billboard promoting the project along I-75.
Optics matter to Audi.
Irony - the area draws significant power from the nearby Plant Vogtle NUKE plant ;-)

How many people(especially right now) could afford a new Audi?
In my opinion, AUDIs are grossly overpriced.
Good point. The Audis my children had were nice but expensive to repair.
“How many people(especially right now) could afford a new Audi?”
Almost everyone I know can.
Many Audis don’t cost as much as a new F150.
Beat me by 20 minutes...
Yes. I owned one through the 1980’s, nothing appears to have changed. Expensive to buy and then repair. I used to joke you needed to take out a mortgage to fix it. Never again. Although I did find a minor way around the labor cost; I knew most of the parts were interchangeable with VW given they were stamped with both symbols. So I took it to the VW dealership and they quietly agreed to do the repairs for their hourly charge vs. the marked up Audi dealership. The 80’s, what a great decade.
