Letitia James Indicts Trump In Cornell Case

ITHACA, NY — Immediately following her appointment as a special prosecutor to investigate the alleged sexual assault of a female student, New York Attorney General Letitia James announced that she was indicting President Donald Trump in the Cornell case.

Fierce debate swirled on social media about the case, but James said she determined almost instantly upon joining the investigation that Trump was the one who was ultimately responsible for the incident.

"I know he's to blame somehow," James told the media when announcing the indictment. "Though he was not present at the time of the incident, has no connection to Cornell University, and was not named by anyone involved, I'm absolutely sure he's the one behind all of it. Justice will be served. As long as it's against Trump."

James made it clear that no stone would be left unturned in her effort to indict Trump for another crime he didn't commit. "We have unfinished business," she told reporters. "And by ‘unfinished business,' I mean I haven't been able to send him to prison, no matter how much stuff I try to make up out of thin air. But I will not quit until I get Trump behind bars for something he didn't do."

At publishing time, James had expanded her investigation to pursue the possibility that Trump was responsible for the death of Lindsay Clancy's children.

This is entirely possible, even likely.

Great punch line for those who did not read to the end!

“At publishing time, James had expanded her investigation to pursue the possibility that Trump was responsible for the death of Lindsay Clancy’s children.”

Back in the Watergate days, President Nixon was named an "unindicted co-conspirator".

So maybe what James is doing is naming Trump an "indicted non-conspirator".

I’m betting that Jane Doe is black. You almost have to know someone to get into Cornell.

Possible, but I think unlikely. In all the news reports, commentary, etc. I have yet to see a single reference to race. That implies pretty strongly that all participants in this unfortunate situation are white or at least non-black.

El Rush-Bo often pointed out, predicted things the Left would do. Even when he “used absurdity to point out absurdity,” some of the absurd eventually became Leftist reality.

I just did a quick search with Grok for some examples:

From Grok:

Rush Limbaugh frequently described patterns in progressive/left-wing cultural, environmental, and political arguments, framing many as predictions about where those ideas would lead. Supporters often cite examples where subsequent events aligned with his commentary; critics note selective emphasis and cases where predictions (such as certain Obamacare outcomes) did not fully materialize. Here are several documented instances matching the style of the SUV example.

Demonization of SUVs and pressure for smaller vehicles.

In the mid-1990s, around the time the Sierra Club began campaigns against SUVs, Limbaugh warned that environmentalists and liberals would treat large vehicles as inherently destructive (“gas-guzzlers” harming the climate and unfair in accidents), seek to restrict or eliminate consumer choice for them, and push people toward smaller, less safe cars via regulation and cultural stigma. He revisited this repeatedly as media pieces (including a 2008 PBS NewsHour essay framed as a near-eulogy for the SUV), comparisons of SUV emissions to the harm of 9/11 terrorism, CAFE fuel-economy standards, and related rhetoric appeared. The cultural and regulatory pressure on larger vehicles did intensify even as SUVs remained popular with consumers.

Virtue signaling and precursors to cancel culture.

In a 1993 television segment, Limbaugh appeared covered in multiple colored “awareness” ribbons and satirically declared that wearing them proved he cared more than anyone else. He told the audience that lacking the ribbons meant they were bigots, racists, sexists, homophobes, and (as white/European men) solely responsible for America’s ills—while his ribbons insulated him from such charges. This mocked the emerging culture of symbolic displays of moral superiority. Later observers and clips framed it as an early anticipation of modern social-media virtue signaling, obligatory support for the “current thing,” and social/professional penalties (cancellation) for insufficient conformity to progressive causes.

Reframing the American founding as fundamentally illegitimate.

For years Limbaugh argued that a core left-wing view held the United States to be unjust and immoral from the start because it was founded by “rich white guys” who enshrined slavery, creating a system primarily for themselves and their descendants. He said this animus drove efforts to discredit traditional narratives of American exceptionalism rather than treat slavery as a profound flaw that was later corrected. This description closely matched later developments such as the New York Times’ 1619 Project (which centered 1619 and slavery as the nation’s true origin point and argued many American achievements grew out of it) and related academic/activist claims that racism and white supremacy were foundational. Limbaugh treated these as confirmation of the worldview he had long attributed to the left.

Universities as centers of ideological indoctrination rather than primarily education.

Limbaugh repeatedly claimed since the 1980s–1990s that elite colleges and universities functioned more as indoctrination sites for progressive orthodoxy than as open institutions of learning, producing graduates distrustful of traditional American institutions and burdened by debt for limited practical value in many fields. Public opinion data and commentary in later years showed growing numbers of Americans (including substantial shares of Republicans and some Democrats) viewing higher education as having a net negative impact or as overly politicized, aligning with the trajectory he described.

These examples come primarily from Limbaugh’s own show transcripts and contemporary conservative analyses that tracked his commentary against later events. He presented them as logical extensions of progressive premises.

Did anyone else think that, side by side, Kathy Hochul looks like a small person confronting a dangerous giant?

Official internet stats say 5ft 7 for Hochul and 5ft 10 for James. That can’t be true. Older photos also show about a foot difference.

At first glance, I thought this was real. That’s how sick and twisted the Left has become.

In that case it's only a matter of time before some FReeper posts her pic here and the obligatory "Guilty/Not Guilty" judgment is rendered.
