A team scanning a boat-shaped hill in eastern Turkey has announced that new radar images show a large man-made structure underground, not just natural rock.
On Wednesday, private research group Noah’s Ark Scans released a preliminary report about their work at the Durupınar Formation in Turkey, claiming that the 515-foot boat-shaped mound contained a 'man-made object.'
The scans were conducted by Dr Khosrow Bakhtar, an engineer who spent decades building detection systems for US defense agencies, including the Air Force, Navy and NORAD.
He used a system he invented called BakhtarRadar, originally developed to find buried tunnels and hidden structures, to scan beneath the boat-shaped Durupınar mound and see whether it was solid natural rock or a man-made structure with rooms and corridors inside.
That process has now concluded that the object under the Durupınar mound is not a natural rock formation, but a large organized man-made structure with corridors, chambers and hallways inside.
In a press release sent to the Daily Mail, Dr Bakhtar said: 'Whatever the object is beneath the surface is extraordinary.
'In forty years of this work, I have never seen anything like it. It could be a ship. It could be a spaceship. What I can say from the radar is that it is organized, it is structural, and a solid geological mass would not have returned such a strong signature.'

Long before the modern petroleum industry existed, people throughout history produced waterproof pitch from tree sap.
The pitch used for the arc was most likely tree sap for water resistance and not much of a preservative.
Any pieces might have something carved on the walls.
Like grafitti on board a ship during a long voyage.
I wonder how many will get that reference my friend.
That was a funny funny bit Bill Cosby did. I assume before he turned into a perv.
Voopa voopa voopa voopa...DING!....NOAH!
I still don’t think it would last all those thousands of years.
Expressing skepticism that these are the remains of Noah’s ark is not ‘mocking and scoffing’ Noah.
The pitch used for the arc was most likely tree sap for water resistance and not much of a preservative.
Genesis 6:14 uses the wording "within and without" concerning the pitch. Water resistance reasonably concerns the outside of the arc imo. Christian Bible study questions if the reason to pitch the inside of the arc was to preserve it, at least for long enough.

“What’s a cubit?”
What’s a cubit?
Exactly. One can believe there is a historical basis for the story of Noah's Ark (as I do), but that doesn't mean this is it. If it is a manmade structure, at this point it could be a number of other things: a remote village, a military fort, a summer palace, a temple or monastery, etc. My mind is open, but I will wait for more conclusive evidence--which is far from being "a scoffer". It doesn't help the cause of Christ to be immediately credulous in these matters.

going for the latter ...
More recent theories have a dna library compiled to take away from Earth. That’s what Linda Moulton Howe was told when she asked why cattle mutilations and precision surgery on corpses of various farm animals were mysteriously left behind by unknown beings.
I’m beginning to think a Catholic has never read a Bible in their life.

Have you ever heard of petrified wood?
Based entirely in assumption.
Wake me when it’s from a gas chromatograph or a scanning electron microscope.
Even if some one took the wood it would have left the corridors and chambers behind.
Jimmy Hoffa?........
Interior pitch makes sense for a preservative. The interior of the arc was probably a mess with all those animals and most likely seawater in the bilges. Thank you for the biblical clarification.
Whatever you say.
