I don't know if I'm the only one experiencing this in the last several years or if others have noticed this as well. I feel like I'm in the Twilight Zone whenever I talk to medical provider offices. The level of communication skills is just in the gutter. I get ghetto-level schedulers and other personnel who can barely speak English, or who don't speak clearly into the phone. Not at one provider only, but with ALL the providers I deal with.
And their knowledge of their jobs is just as abysmal. It's like I went to a Walmart cashier to have my gall bladder removed. I can't get a coherent sentence from anyone, either because they're straight of of the 'hood, or English is their second or third language. Don't competent white males or females apply for these jobs anymore?
It's idiocracy brought to life! I feel like society is crumbling.
My wife was ‘tarded, now she’s an air traffic controller tawkin to yer wife.
If you want competent English speakers and medical care you’ll have to travel abroad for that. Like Malaysia, Japan, Thailand or Taiwan. I’ve done Malaysia and Thailand for stem cell and dental work respectively, using cash.
It’s not the new technology I’m so worried about, although I do have reservations about the quality.
It’s the installers. They are almost always very poorly trained in the ins and outs of installs. For instance, I have had water leaks behind the stall that needs mold mitigation. I can see a shoddy job done with that.
I know they guarantee it, but I could pave a road to hell with the guarantees that have gone south.
What are they gonna do? Rip it out and leave me with no shower at all?
I’ve got the installers you need but they’re many miles away. They did a fantastic job on mine.
The deadline to comment on the elimination of the 60-day grace period that applies to the end of an H-1B job is November 10th. To comment on that, and to read comments that our Indian friends have made, go here :
You didn’t like the idea of asking plumbers what tile men they use?
> The lockdowns destroyed literacy.
That was all part of the plan. Destroy western civilization from the inside.
“We don’t tell too many, because then it would get crowded.:”
exactly ... like keeping secret fishing holes secret ... or keeping secret a shortcut that avoids 10 stop lights: tell one person and within a month the short-cut is traffic-jammed ...
I guess I’m fortunate. All my MDs here in rural KY have competent people scheduling and greeting patients. When we first moved here from the Northeast I felt like I needed an interpreter to deal with the variety of Southern accents, but I got better at listening and comprehending. I’m soon to be dealing with a hospital in Cincinnati, which could color my opinion. We’ll see.
You are not alone.
My story - from TODAY.
I have an appointment for later this week with a specialist requiring a blood lab-work.
I contacted my Primary who prefers electronic notes contact via the Health Care Provider’s bloated website. So, last week, I logged on, found where to request that he also send the same lab an order to do an A1C.
I included in my note the precise Labcorp location, phone number and fax number.
Today I get to the lab and they don’t have the one from my primary. Girl at the desk suggests I call.
So I call. Of course you CAN NOT call directly to that specific office. Your calls are routed to some central call center. Being Monday morning, of course they are very busy. So my call (Which is VERY important to them, by the way!) was not answered for 15 minutes.
I told the girl I needed to talk to my Dr’s office and boom, back on hold. Eventually the actual Dr’s office answered. She looked at the order and told me it was sent to a completely different lab.
I was disgusted after providing the SPECIFIC location and contact info. I asked her to please send it right away. I waited at the lab another 25 minutes and it never came. I finally gave up and just got the original specialist lab.
I have no idea if the order ever arrived.
I have decided to change primary. I need competence. Wish me luck.
A lot of the representatives and operators you speak to are remote workers not on the premises of your doctor’s office. The minimum requirements are essentially a GED and being able to use a mouse and keyboard. Some outsource to another country, as do insurance companies.
It’s a serious problem. Many of those companies that handle calls have DEI initiatives and don’t hire whites, especially men.
Ever since Obamacare passed, I’ve noted a decline in health care administration, including longer wait times for appointments and tests. Health groups consolidating and buying each other out while turning into monoliths aren’t helping, nor is allowing insurance companies to purchase said monoliths and discriminate against other insurance providers.
Here in midstate NH Our healthcare provider has let go 2 of our doctors. They have visiting doctors now and you never know who you’re going to get. Ive had 2 Indians doctors. No more “you can keep your doctor. “ It’s all about money and I believe the illegals that don’t pay have ruined it for everyone.
It's kind of odd but the only white people I've had competent courteous service from in recent memory were Trannies. One at CVS. Two of them at Costco.
