Mamdani Bans High-Powered E-Bike Sales ... Months After Ending Enforcement Of Bike Violations
Not The Bee ^ | August 07, 2026 | Harambe Harambe

If this isn't the modern left in a nutshell, I don't know what is.

Taking a page from the "suing Kia for carjackings" playbook deployed in places like Chicago, Mamdani has decided to crack down on hooligans and ne'er-do-wells using high-powered e-bikes and e-scooters to hurt themselves, hurt others, and be general nuisances to society by ... banning sales of these products.

Funny how these e-bikes and scooters are fine in non-metro areas and low diversity areas, but in New York City they have to be outlawed.

Tale as old as time.

Anyone with their eyes open can see what's happening here.

Yes, just months after banning the enforcement of traffic violations involving bikes, Mamdani solves the problem he created ... by banning the sale of new high-powered e-bikes.

But the bikes and scooters that are already out there? Still no criminal enforcement allowed.

The Left will hold ANYTHING responsible for crime ...

Except criminals. I'll leave this whole thing here, cuz it's glorious:

If I had the $$$, I would set up a high-powered bike shop right outside the NY City border. The logo of the bikes would be the Hammer & Sickle.

The solution is to put the "ne'er-do-wells" in cages starting at about the age of 14 or 15.
Keep them in cages the rest of their lives.

Evidently Mayor Mamdani missed this key part of the Communist Manifesto:

“From each an e-bike according to his ability, to each an e-bike according to his needs.”

Where I live, way too many e-bike riders are scofflaws who think that traffic laws don’t apply to them. I see this all the time - they sail right through red lights and stop signs and switch back and forth between sidewalk and street.

I’m guessing he needs more taxpaying money and can’t extract as much as he might like from auto drivers. So, he’s turned to bicycles.

Actually he’s forcing bikers to only use city bikes...thus more revenue for the city.
Wonder when he’ll start charging pedestrians.

The solution isn’t to ban them. It is to enforce the law.

Unenforceable. People will simply buy them in New Jersey or Connecticut. Meanwhile the city loses out on the revenue from the bike sales. Commies suck.
