The streets of Iran are near a breaking point over public executions, economic collapse and a war that’s been raging on for more than five months, anti-regime figures in Tehran told The Post.
“A revolution can happen any day now — people want revenge,” a protest leader said, referring to the regime’s brutal January crackdown that President Trump said killed 52,000 people.
An independent journalist active in the Iranian underground said that preparations are already being made for the next uprising, and that activists from all walks of life are determined to make a final, decisive blow against the regime.
Both Iranians spoke with The Post through a translator by cellphone after signing on to a VPN.
“We’re studying the protests from January, determining what tactics worked and which didn’t; we’re analyzing maps to determine the safest and most dangerous areas to congregate,” the journalist said.
He claimed that the Iranian resistance has hidden crude weaponry and tools throughout the country — bricks, rocks, wooden clubs, chairs and tires used to block roads — waiting for the day that people once again take to the streets.
Small groups are working clandestinely to procure firearms to distribute to demonstrators — utilizing guns stored in certain private homes and smuggled from abroad, the protest leader claimed. They did not specify who would be providing these weapons.
“When we went out in January, we were like lambs to the slaughter; the Basij forces were using firepower that you couldn’t believe; the streets were like a graveyard, corpses everywhere, the streets ran red with blood,” she said, unable to contain her rage and grief.

Let me know when it already happened.
Local sources say that the total number is more like 100,000.
Yes, they will come out holding signs and sending strongly worded letters.
Trump watched the massacres in January like the Russians sitting outside Warsaw.
My source says the same, and also that the bulk of them were Christians or Zoroastrians.
Is this Tousi posting this pipe dream? Crude weapons? They should have freakin tanks by now. What a useless resistance. Even frenchies weren’t this pathetic.
There will be no Iranian Revolution—The Mullahs have cemented there powerbase and will rule for a thousand years. Some time in the future they will get nukes even if its only an A-Bomb. Maybe the year 2078—but it will happen. We must steel ourselves for this and the fact it will end Israel forever. Only an invasion will stop this and no one has the guts for that.
I think I’ve heard this before

They will never have to nuke America because America is already being populated by them. They are taking power positions all the time now.
We should have focused here at home instead. That would have been America First.
At that time, what would you have had Trump do?
Once upon a time, journalism was: “Here’s what happened yesterday.”
Now it’s: “Here’s how you should think about tomorrow.”
He could have sent them weapons; or he could have kept his mouth shut about “help coming.”
I’ve seen a video where a civilian shot a couple of cops at a checkpoint.
I really wish this is true. Iran would be a great country if it could get rid of the IRGC and mullahs. They have a rich history and ancient civilization. And a young urban population that hates conservative Islam. There are some estimates that half of young, urban Iranians are Muslim in name only. If they ever take charge, there will be a revolutionary new dynamic in the Middle East. But never underestimate the power of a dictator to hold on. Especially if they are willing to kill tens if not hundreds of thousands of their own people.
Trump tried to arm the citizens, but the Kurds kept the weapons.
“I really wish this is true”. Me too, but the people are not capable imho. I think it would take a troop ground invasion led by the U.S. and Isreal to take out the regime. Don’t want to see that, but I think that is what it’s going to take.
Trump said he tried sending arms to the citizens. The Kurds denied he did so and they denied they kept the arms.
In any event, this is why sending weapons to the citizens is a bad idea. Anytime aid is sent, it always ends up under control of the enemy.
