Two-thirds of Americans believe the war in Iran has not been worth fighting.
A new AP-NORC poll found that roughly two-thirds of U.S. adults say the war that began Feb. 28 is not worthwhile. The sentiment is shared by the vast majority of Democrats (87%) and independents (68%), as well as 37% of Republicans.
The AP-NORC poll, conducted July 23-27, surveyed 1,165 adults and has a margin of sampling error of plus or minus 3.7 percentage points.

If people are honest with themselves, they know if Trump could go back in time, he would tell Benjamin Netanyahu no effing way are we doing this.
If Trump wanted an easy way out just ask Congress to formally declare war on Iran. Let Congress make the decision. Make the vote public.
No they didn't! The CIA operation in 1953 was AWESOME, and it's damn near treasonous to say it wasn't.
We did a GOOD thing by keeping the Shah in power.
Everything went to shit in 1976 when we elected (up to that time) the most stupid incompetent president in our history.
Jimmy Carter caused the disaster that became Iran. Nothing else.
Watch and see how those whining about the war will squeal like stuck pigs when they are forced to spend better than six or seven bucks a gallon for gas. Or maybe Iran sets off a suitcase nuke in LA or maybe San Francisco.
And it will be all Trump’s fault...
Midnight Hammer (according to the Administration) removed that threat last summer. Or were they lying?
If there was an imminent threat, Israel would have removed it with or without our help. If there is a future threat, Israel can and will take care of it without our help. (Their intel on Iran is second to none).
You said you "agreed" with me that we should take out Iran.
When I clearly meant the opposite.
The GOP picks up 10 sears.
Neither are you.
After the success of last year’s Operation Midnight Fury, the Administration has shown zero evidence of an imminent threat. Nada. Zilch. Zero.
Boomer has nothing to do with it. I despise the attempts by people to separate Americans of all ages into separate groups and pit them against each other.
If you say you have been around long enough to see it with your own eyes, I accept the validity of that without having to characterize you as a “Boomer”.
Some people on this forum are dedicated to sowing that particular division.
There are lots of polls out there. 🙄
Trump didn’t do anything during his first term.
By the way, the United States and Britian started it in 1953. Eisenhower (republican) and Churchill overthrew the Iranian government. This was one of the causes of the Iranian Revolution in 1979.
We can't even put someone like Fauci in jail even though he and his fellow "public health official" morons arguably did more damage to the U.S. than a half-dozen Iranian nuclear warheads could do.
Stupid to be influenced by polls on a matter like this. Trump needs to finish them off. If we depend on polls to make policy, we are done as a nation.
"...Stop protecting Ukraine and Israel. Stop bullying Denmark and Greenland. Leave Venezuela and Cuba alone. Focus on the U.S., not the world...."
Your clear context regarded "protection".
You make a very good point, one that I should have added to my previous post.
I guess the Vietnam War was the turning point.
“We are fighting to stop the spread of communism.”
“There is light at the end of the tunnel.”
Etc.
That war turned most Americans into doubters and cynics.
Another FR poster that isn’t aware of the CIA operation AJAX.
In short the UK started this and got us involved.
Iran started this in 492 BC at which time they were one week away from having nuclear weapons.
Once we got out of Indochina, it paved the way for The Killing Fields.
Ironically, though it was the Vietnamese Communists that put a stop to it.
lol
