On one hand, we are winning the war with Iran. This week, bombings greatly accelerated and are not likely to end without real capitulation and surrender. On the other hand, the Vice President seems to be at odds with the administration, unhappy that we are in a (winning) war and casting blame for the failure of his peace effort, which is really only Iran’s fault.
On one hand, the President has declassified documents credibly showing foreign influence and interference with our elections. On the other hand, major news outlets seem determined to keep their viewers from knowing this. If viewers did know how insecure our elections are, they might support remediation measures -- like SAVE -- to the detriment of the media’s darlings, the Democrats, whose decades-long election cheating is manifest.
The president has made clear that he regards what are known as the groypers as stupid and not worth paying attention to:

Yet, this week Vice President Vance, who has yet to distance himself from Tucker Carlson, had a lengthy three-hour interview with Joe Rogan in which he blamed Israel for the war in Iran and, by inference, suggested the President is a tool of Israel.

Most rank amd file in the IRGC are imported Pakistanis. They’ll be long gone if the regime falls.
I watched the entire interview and didn’t have a problem with anything Vance said.
The uniformed security often “switch sides” when they see the other side has already won.
In Iran, it is quite possible the Army would “switch sides” long before the IRGC does.
As we have air suppremacy over Iran, it is not hard to see IRGC checkpoints and security being taken out with drone strikes. It is already happening. At some point, the IRGC will lose so many they will not be able to exert serious control.
The other dynamic potential is the Balkanization of Iran as Kurds and others use the degradation of Iranian power to break off parts of Iran.
The closest somewhat similar cases I can think of historically is the change of regimes by US military power in the Banana wars. Not very close, but we had air power and the other side did not.
I don’t know why we let Iran dictate the terms of the diplomatic talks.
Vance was given an impossible job - trying to negotiate peace with the rabid Iranian terrorists - of course he’s frustrated because he hasn’t been relieved of the tasking despite Iran’s “leadership” constantly proving they cannot be negotiated with. He’s frustrated, but is careful how he cadges his words.
I’m just a guy on the internet. But I don’t think real regime change will happen in Iran until the IRGC is eliminated. And that would likely take boots on the ground — but not necessarily our boots.
Get the Kurds moving into Iran. Get the Gulf States to form a coalition force. Get the regular Iranian army to change sides. With our air superiority, the IRGC will have trouble maneuvering. The ground troops fighting the IRGC may not be the best but we can help quite a lot from a distance. And maybe a few US Marines could take out a troublesome area or two.
I don’t think this thing ends until the world gets serious about eliminating the IRGC — which is NOT the same as occupying the vast, mountainous terrain of Iran.

Well, part of the problem is that the nominal head of the country is already dead or so deeply hidden that Waldo couldn’t find him. The other problem is that knowing who the defacto leader is a bit difficult, as it seem to change randomly due to internal power struggles. We know it’s somebody from the IRGC. So in the interests of thoroughness we should kill all of them.

JD Vance is actually consistent with Trump’s campaign promises from 2016 and 2024.
Rubio is a TV clown and an empty suit. His career in national politics should have been considered dead and buried after that comical fiasco when Chris Christie exposed him in that 2016 primary debate.
