Strange Things Are Happening
American Thinker ^ | 19 Jul, 2026 | Clarice Feldman

On one hand, we are winning the war with Iran. This week, bombings greatly accelerated and are not likely to end without real capitulation and surrender. On the other hand, the Vice President seems to be at odds with the administration, unhappy that we are in a (winning) war and casting blame for the failure of his peace effort, which is really only Iran’s fault.

On one hand, the President has declassified documents credibly showing foreign influence and interference with our elections. On the other hand, major news outlets seem determined to keep their viewers from knowing this. If viewers did know how insecure our elections are, they might support remediation measures -- like SAVE -- to the detriment of the media’s darlings, the Democrats, whose decades-long election cheating is manifest.

The president has made clear that he regards what are known as the groypers as stupid and not worth paying attention to:

Donald J. Trump • O

@realDonaldTrump I know why Tucker Carlson, Megyn Kelly, Candace Owens, and Alex Jones have all been fighting me for years, especially by the fact that they think it is wonderful for Iran, the Number One State Sponsor of Terror, to have a Nuclear Weapon -- Because they have one thing in common, Low IQs. They're stupid people, they know it, their families know it, and everyone else knows it, too! Look at their past, look at their record. They don't have what it takes, and they never did!

Yet, this week Vice President Vance, who has yet to distance himself from Tucker Carlson, had a lengthy three-hour interview with Joe Rogan in which he blamed Israel for the war in Iran and, by inference, suggested the President is a tool of Israel.

Something does not seem right with Vance.

Trump and Rubio never thought it possible to negotiate peace on our terms with Iran. Vance insisted we could, and Trump allowed him to try it, letting him give it his best shot.

Sounds logical.

Getting left on the tarmac in Switzerland during your big boy moment may have a little to do with things?

Oddly, he is likely right. I suspect the President was told that Israel was killing the ayatollahs and it would be best if he went on offense. It doesn’t mean it is wrong. It just means that Iran was going to attack us anyway whether we fired on them or not.

The Iranians “win” by not losing. The IRGC is not concerned with the welfare of the citizens. What matters is their power and their control over the economy. All they have to do to maintain that is keep attacking. The civilian government is powerless. The only way to “win” is to convince the IRGC to quit. But they’ve killed so many Iranians if they lose power then they’ll be hunted down and killed.

We are winning the war….

Really? Define “winning.”

The problem with American Thinker is that anyone can write an article and have it “published.”

"...But they've killed so many Iranians if they lose power then they'll be hunted down and killed..."

Actually, I don't know why that kind of vigilantism isn't going on right now with the Iranian population.

Surely at this point, the security around their criminal leadership has been degraded enough that a civilian could accomplish a successful 'removal'...😕🤔

On one hand, the President has declassified documents credibly showing foreign influence and interference with our elections. On the other hand, major news outlets seem determined to keep their viewers from knowing this.

This one statement is right over the target, but misses it.

Many on our side are still funding the media with our paid TV subscriptions. As long as we limit our actions to criticizing them online while continuing to pay, they have no reason to change. One might say they should change for the sake of honesty, but it's delusional to think they're going to stop covering for the left because it's the right thing to do. They won't change until we give them a reason to change, and far too many of us are unwilling to take that step.

Same with the Chicoms. They're using our consumer dollars against us, which is something anyone with foresight could have seen would happen, and they'll continue to do so for as long as we're willing to send our money over there. The question isn't whether they're buying all of this voter information and working against us in other ways, but why we're so unwilling to stop sending them the money to do it.

At some point, we have to listen to our own preaching about personal responsibility, and take it upon ourselves to stop sending our money to the people whom, as we already know, will use it against us.

This statement is why IMHO Rubio has proven he is the next POTUS and not JD.

“The Iranians “win” by not losing. ...”

As a concerned observer, with the information available to me, I have to completely agree with what you posted.

Vane acts at the behest of Trump. If Trump is not happy with Vance, you know Trump. He would say something.

Sometimes things are not as they seem and we don’t always know why. But there is a reason.

“This statement” you refer to is fever dream BS from the author. But Rubio *is, more ready to be the next president. That’s clear. Vance is yound and (relatively) inexperienced.

“Surely at this point, the security around their criminal leadership has been degraded enough that a civilian could accomplish a successful ‘removal’..”

The secret to a successful revolution is, one, getting enough people into the streets and, two, getting the uniformed security to switch sides. In this particular case, the uniformed security is staffed by religious fanatics. That’s a whole different animal from the French guards at the Bastille or the Russian troops surrounding the Duma.
