Vice President JD Vance called in to FNC's "Big Weekend Show" on Sunday afternoon to give some details about the administration's deal with Iran: VICE PRESIDENT JD VANCE: I think it’s a big moment for the United States of America, thanks to the president’s leadership and the hard work of the entire team.
Three things that are important for the American people to appreciate what this deal does for all of us as Americans.
- Number one, the immediate opening of the Strait of Hormuz and the lifting of the naval blockade with Iran along with it.
- The number two thing: Iran will never have a nuclear weapon, and not pursue a nuclear weapon, but procure and try to buy a nuclear weapon as well. That’s built into this agreement.
- And the third thing: This only happens, to be clear, if Iran delivers on their promise -- so there is an approach where we verify and Iran benefits as long as Iran meets their end of the obligation. But if the Iranians comply with this deal for the next 50 years, it’s going to end the war, it's going to make the Middle East a lot more investible, and create a lot of prosperity and lower energy for the American people. This region has been a basket case for my entire life and longer than that. And what the president has really set us to do is to certainly eliminate the nuclear threat of Iran. That is done.
But now, possibly, to build to a new era of Middle East prosperity and success, where it is not a region of the world where the United States has to worry about so much, but frankly, we can generate a lot of prosperity...

In politics timing is everything. This “deal” needed to be made now to prevent a likely change in the balance of power in the midterms. This would likely have completely halted everything good that President Trump has been doing his best to achieve. If this deal is not all that it should be... there will be nothing to prevent President Trump from making some adjustments in the second half of this term if he still has majorities in the House and Senate.
This is the time for patience and support for our amazing President... not whining and complaining about inconsequential details.
The main concession we want is for Iran to deliver (or guide us to) the uranium right away.
Iran will breach the terms of the agreement very soon, as they always do. If we have the uranium before then, we will be in a much better position, and the "deal" will have been a winner.
“ This is the time for patience and support for our amazing President... not whining and complaining about inconsequential details.”

THANK YOU!!
Yes...
Many a slip twixt cup and lip.
The hardliners will not comply, I suspect.
This may have been done to promote a civil war within the IRGC, playing off one faction against another.
The IRGC are just buying themselves time
If Israel complies.
YUGE “if’. Lucy-—football?
There are a lot of people, home and abroad, who are personally invested to see that Trump and the U.S. not succeed here. We know who they are. We should be grateful that our leadership strives to do the right thing and ignore all the negativity.
Reagan said it best: “Trust but verify”. We should have the means to see whether Iran is living up to their promises much better than we did back in the old Gulf War days. If they don’t, we’ll know.
I’m glad Vance is the one speaking because, too often, whatever Trump says his enemies will just close their ears and spin everything to its most absurd meaning.
Happy Birthday, Mr. President, and thank you for your leadership.
I believe that Iran (as a descendent of ancient Persia) will never give ‘upstart’ America its due respect. Iran’s current leaders will need to be beaten into total subjugation before a true Middle East peace can be realized.
But sincere kudos to President Trump for giving them every opportunity to enter the modern era without his needing to resort to unspeakable methods.
A deal so great they’re already hand-waving away the pesky little details.
Iranians in the west seeking a free Iran, put away those flags, get back to work, do not quit your jobs or take your kids out of school, do not close that bank account or put your house up for sale, all in gleeful anticipation of moving back to a free Iran when Trump was pounding them. Understand that he has folded for some long range promises that will never be kept but could be announced on his birthday. I voted for Trump 3 times but his ego, his mouth and his absolute belief that he is never wrong on anything is close to overpowering.
The IRGC are just buying themselves time

They weren’t buying anything when they weren’t getting paid.
If?
Who believes the group they called most rational have the power ?
They don’t
100% failure is coming
They weren't going to return to Iran even if Iran became free. Life in the U.S. is too good.
Hardly any immigrant returns, no matter what they say.
Instead, they obtain dual citizenship, vacation in their home country, and import relatives via chain migration.
The Iranian killers will not keep the peace. They will start killing the people in in Iran who want freedom knowing that Trump will not stop it. Over 40,000 murdered last January by the Iranian leaders.
They are playing Donald Trump hoping the democrats win the elections and they will get more billions shipped to them.
They could rise up if they truly want freedom. There are way more of them the IRGC.
