Gunfire erupted at Haywood Mall in Greenville, South Carolina, the state’s largest mall, on Saturday afternoon, and a teenager has been arrested. The incident took place around 1 p.m.
An on-duty Greenville police officer heard the gunfire and responded immediately to find two victims wounded at the scene.
Officers quickly determined the shooting was not random but stemmed from a personal argument between individuals who knew each other.
Two people suffered gunshot wounds during the exchange.
A woman who was an uninvolved bystander was shot in the foot, while a man was hit in the shoulder and neck area.
Both victims were transported to a nearby hospital and remain in stable condition.
Police detained several people in the immediate aftermath, and a 17-year-old suspect who fired a weapon has been arrested.
According to a report from local station WSPA, “Detectives are working to identify more suspects involved in the shooting.”
Charges against those involved are pending, and the investigation is ongoing.
Chris Rock would refer to this as the mall where the white people used to go.
“There is nothing more painful to me at this stage in my life than to walk down the street and hear footsteps ... then turn around and see somebody white and feel relieved.”
From a 1993 address to inner-city youth by Rev. Jesse Jackson.
But we have to.
Black families are also crouching in terror and trying to cover the children when they hear gunshots. Along with white and Asian and Hispanic people.
Soft on crime doesn’t work, Dems and judges. It hurts us all.
And people wonder why malls are dying all over the place.
I am beginning to rethink the Affordable Care Act’s (Obamacares’) 10% excise tax on tanning salons. It seems so many of shooters have overtanned.
Last time I walked in to the only mall on my side if town, I was the minority.
They’re like locusts....the decend on a place en mass, strip it clean and move on.
The fact that they decry something called “food deserts” is a perfect example.
Theres a reason grocery and other stores pull out of urban areas.
The pilferage isn’t cost effective.
It would be understandable if foot traffic drops off at this mall. This shooting is certainly a big story in the local area.
It would not be surprising if critical numbers of people decided, that it’s too dangerous to go to that mall. Down the road look for store closures. Then, the smaller the mall may enter a death spiral.
Chris Rock said there were two kinds of malls: malls where white people shopped and malls where white people USE to shop ...
Making full use of that 69 IQ
Maybe someone pushed his boundries like that POS professor at Howard University was talking about. Anyway, I recommend white mothers have this talk with their teen sons: Bill, there is one given in life that you must observe: Never interact, never get close, never challenge a black teen male unless you are ready for a fight to the death. They are irrational, unpredictable, prone to rage at the slightest provocation, cannot control their emotions and usually are carrying sone sort of weapon. Avoid them at all costs.
Remember your ABC’s, Always Be Carrying
Is that mall a gun free zone?
The one in Myrtle Beach is.I avoid it now.(out of protest)
That seems like a nice Mall. I have only been there a few times while visiting Greenville but it is not a bad area and the Mall itself is clean and decent with the expected store closures all Malls seem to have these days, with everyone shopping on line.
Greenville is 24% black and so there is your problem. I have been at that Mall when there was a large group of obnoxious black people at the Food Court and I just left that area immediately, as separation from blacks with no impulse control is always the best policy.
That is the key. When you find yourself anywhere that a group of acting out blacks happen to show up, you need to just leave immediately.
I would have expected the shooter to be a black thug and it is no surprise that is the case again here.
It is a sad but constant theme. Avoid gatherings of black people like the plague as there are sure to be thugs among them and the bigger the group of them, the more predictably some will act out and become violent.
Just avoid, avoid, avoid.
That Mall itself is not bad. It is a nice place to spend time shopping if you need stuff. That said, there is a lot of other retail around that area without having to go to Haywood Mall.
The Greenville County Solicitor (prosector) is Cindy Crick and is known for being pretty tough on criminals and prosecuting them hard. I can’t speak to the judges and their sentences, but I don’t think Greenville County has a problem with being “soft on crime”.
You can’t stop crime. All you can do is make sure that criminals are convicted and serve long sentences.
Bring back the Duel.
They always went to a woods, a park, middle of the street. Left malls and graduations and birthday parties alone.
It’s them, BooBoo.
Them...Avoid THEM.
Your life might depend upon it.
Never heard of her so thanks.
