President Donald Trump told the media on Wednesday, “I love the inflation” report that came out earlier in the morning, showing inflation had risen above 4% for the first time in three years.
“Are you concerned, Mr. President, about the latest inflation number, which came out this morning? Could that be a–” a reporter asked Trump during an Oval Office Q&A.
Trump cut in and answered, “No, I love it. The numbers were great. You know what I really love? I love the inflation.”
“You know why? Because as soon as this war is over, you know, I can say it now. Something you didn’t know. Do you know we’ve been taking out millions of barrels of oil? Nobody knows it. You know who doesn’t know about it? Iran — until right now. We took out, the other night, 22 ships, late at night, with no lights, because they don’t have any radar, because we blasted the crap out of it,” Trump continued, adding:
We took it, that’s why oil is $85 a barrel. I mean, you take a look. Remember when I did this, I said, look, the one bad thing will be, we hit the best economy we’ve ever hit. And I said to my people, I had Scott, I had Howard, I have Pete, I had all of them. I had Todd in the room. I said, the one thing we have to do now — we had just hit the highest stock market in history, highest 401ks in history, everything was going well — and I said, I hate to do this to you guys, but Iran’s going to have a nuclear weapon very soon. We have to attack."

I read the entire quote and transcript for context. Its as bad as it sounds.
He keeps saying the same thing that does not make sense.

February 28, “they can’t have a nuclear weapon” Iran has to be stopped
100 days of war and unrest ensue
“They can’t get to their nuclear dust, only the US and China can get it.” That was the case a year ago.

It really weird for people to fall for that over and over. Read the quote from the article in post 2, it’s not hard to understand. People act as if they have zero reading and comprehension ability.

BTW, oil is not $85 a barrel now, it is over $91 again.
What he said is tone deaf. Some might even say it was stupid.
We are rhe solution. But if we can’t even primary people like Linda Grahamnesty, inflation may not be high enough yet.
I watched it, I listened, I always got A’s in comprehension.

I think he is saying, the inflation is a symptom of the fact that we are taking out Iranian oil tankers, which was a hard necessity to keep them from becoming a nuclear power.
So, he loves it. Because it’s a necessary consequence of keeping us and the world a much safer place.
Ok I think there would have been a way better way to say. And no I’m not auditioning for press secretary.
How about instead :
“The latest inflation was higher than we all want to see. Five years after President Biden’s inept Covid recovery response, we are still seeing supply chain after effects. My administration has worked hard and successfully to help open up our great nations productive ability and bring more hours to market which will make products more affordable for American consumers.
We see the recent oil price increases as temporary and expect gasoline and diesel fuel prices to drop sharply in the near future”
