US trades strikes with divided Iran regime as peace talks stall

Iran to halt message exchanges with US over Israel's strikes on Lebanon, Iranian media says Iran is halting its indirect talks with U.S. negotiators in protest against Israel's attacks on Hezbollah in Lebanon, Iranian state-linked media reported Monday. Iran's Tasnim news agency, linked to the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps, reported that Tehran is cutting off talks due to the "continued crimes of the Zionist regime in Lebanon." The report comes after Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi posted to social media saying Lebanon must be included in the ongoing ceasefire between the U.S. and Iran. "The United States and Israel bear responsibility for the consequences of any breach of the truce," Araghchi wrote.

Funny thing how the Iranians don't want Israel included in peace negotiations, but whine like little 'b.ches' when they loose even more Hezbollah terrorists to Israel.

Wow! It's a good thing that Iran has done all that damage to the US like the BBC says, or it would loose even more of it's terrorist friends.

Even if Iran had it’s top mullahs still in power, they would negotiate the same way. Lots of talk, get close, back off, complete stall.

I’m not smart enough to know the answer, but if we are waiting for the mullahs to get some sense and make a deal, that’s a bad plan.

Iran never won a war in 100 years.
But Iran never lost a negotiation in 100 years :)

So this is what Unconditional Surrender looks like.

Funny. I kinda pictured it different.

I’m tired of hearing we have a deal, they want a deal, we’re close to a deal...just wipe them off the face of the earth at this point, FFS.

I think that is an incorrect assessment. I think something big is up, and patience is in order. How many times has Trump been declaed dead and irrelevant, only to see him win again. He was only denied his win in 2020 by virtue of a coordinated theft of the 2020 election, in which both political parties conspired against him.

Which wars did Iran wage beyond the Iraq-Iran War of 1980-1988?

What good is any deal that can only be confirmed by force-of-arms?

Some may say you have to test that for it to be true but share the odds it is not a true statement? I don’t need to be shot to be convinced someone is shooting at me.

Here we go again, all commodity prices are soaring again this morning.

Trust Trump’s plan. What plan?

There was no need for wars when the Shah ruled Iran. He was not a lunatic Muslim.

He may be baiting them to attack first. They just threatened to attack Israel.

Trump has no first hand experience living with Lunatic jihadists. Trump’s lifelong career is based on making deals with rational businesses, unions, local governments. I on the other hand spent first 20 years of my life surrounded by Muslims in a Muslim area in Western India. I grew up with Muslim kids as neighbors. I witnessed first hand how those kids were tutored by Mullah’s in addition to regular schools.

Trump is a human being, and human beings are never 100% perfect. Trump should finish the war, declare a victory and call it an end. At a minimum he needs to destroy all infrastructure which will help Iran build nukes and long range missiles. Start with oil facilities (main source of income) and then the power stations. That will guarantee Iran can not build nukes and missiles for 3 decades. A Taqiyya backed paper deal is never going to stop Iran from giving up nuclear ambitions.

Spare bridges because it will cause humanitarian disaster for foreign aid to reach hapless Iranians. UN and Europe will go nuts if that happens.

Just curious, are you Hindu?

If you want to answer my question.

That’s not the point of my post.

You said: “Iran never won a war in 100 years.” But they’ve only had the one war. And they held their own.

Trump made the same mistake with Iran that Putin made with Ukraine.

Putin thought he could go in and take a weak Ukraine over in a couple of weeks.

Trump thought he could do the same with Iran.

They both overestimated their own power and underestimated the resilience of their adversaries.

They were both wrong and both are having a hell of a time trying to figure out how to get out of their mess.

Blow there . Make sure they can’t drive anything for 30 years army least. Let the Iranian people decide if they will fight for freedom or not.

They are going to lose. Trump is consistent. He will negotiate and make a deal if you work with him, he will make the stakes higher and your position worse if you don’t.

No he didn’t. Trump is economically strangling Iran and NO ONE is going to bail them out. Ukraine and Iran completely different and the US hasn’t even tried to take Iranian territory....yet.

When it escalates next, I expect the US to take out all the Iranian ports next. Then roads leading to other nations except Pakistan and Afghanistan.

The same mistake is that they both thought it’d be a walk in the park.
