At 96 years old, Clint Eastwood has had one of the most illustrious careers in Hollywood.

Born in San Francisco on May 31, 1930, Eastwood first served in the army before he ventured into acting. He got his big break in 1959, starring as Rowdy Yates on CBS' Rawhide and his career took off from there. Throughout his 66-year-long career, Eastwood has starred in classics such as Escape from Alcatraz, Dirty Harry, Mystic River, Million Dollar Baby, Bridges of Madison County and has directed a staggering 40 films, including American Sniper, Heartbreak Ridge, Flags of Our Fathers and more.

Eastwood's personal life is also remarkable. The actor has been married twice and shares eight children with six women. His son Scott and daughter Francesca have even followed in his acting footsteps, while several of his other kids have made their mark behind the scenes.

As the Hollywood veteran turns 96 today, look back at Clint Eastwood's life in photos.

I just had to look it up:

This is a memorable quote from the 1976 film The Enforcer, featuring Clint Eastwood as Inspector Harry Callahan. In the scene, Callahan uses this absurd hypothetical scenario to interrogate Mrs. Grey (played by Jan Stratton) and determine if any laws are being broken besides animal cruelty. His partner, Inspector Kate Moore (played by Tyne Daly), correctly identifies the act as a conspiracy under the California Penal Code, noting that a conspiracy to commit a misdemeanor is a felony.

Elon Musk has 14 confirmed children with four different women. He is worried about the declining birth rate and has complained ‘Do I have to do everything myself?’.

I do not want to live in a world that doesn’t have Clint Eastwood in it. Live Mr. Eastwood, LIVE!

I can’t choose his best movie. Maybe “The Outlaw Josey Wales”.

My sis and I really like Scott’s acting. Also, he’s what is considered “a hunk”, so he’s got that going for him too.

After Dirty Harry came out, everybody and their dog wanted a .44 Mag Smith. I met a guy at a gun store with a .44 of 1972 vintage, looking it over the yoke cutout on the frame was marked mod 57. Smith had diverted a .41 Magnum frame to try to meet demand

Early in his career, Clint and Burt Reynolds were auditioning for the same part. The casting director called them both into his office and told them both that they did not have the looks to make it in Hollywood and that they both should look into some other line of work..................

From “The Outlaw Josey Wales”:

“Now remember, when things look bad and it looks like you’re not gonna make it, then you gotta get mean. I mean plumb, mad-dog mean. ‘Cause if you lose your head and you give up, then you neither live nor win. That’s just the way it is.”

Heartbreak Ridge:

“This is the AK-47 assault rifle, the preferred weapon of your enemy - and it makes a very distinctive sound when fired at you, so remember it.”

Colonel Meyers: What’s your assessment of this exercise?

Highway: It’s a cluster ____!

Choozoo: If your brain was half as smart as your mouth, skunk stool, you’d be a frickin’ twenty star general by now.

Highway: And if I were half as ugly as you are, Sergeant Major, I’d be a poster boy for a prophylactic.

Next month Mel Brooks will be 100 years old . Ironic because his 2000 year old man act is what started his fame. ( It also got him his wife!)

“”””Heartbreak Ridge””””

A very bizarre movie that threw out the history book and in many ways was plain silly, but Eastwood and action made it bearable to watch.
