Iran’s new supreme leader has declared “Israel will not live to see another 15 years” in a chilling affirmation of the Islamic Republic’s enmity towards the Jewish state.
“Death to Israel” and “Death to America” remain the regime’s slogans, according to the statement from Mojtaba Khamenei aired on Tuesday morning by Iran’s state broadcaster.
The rhetoric echoes the claim a decade by his father Ali Khamenei, the previous Supreme Leader, that Israel would not survive another 25 years.
The comments come as an Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) commander told the JC that the “biggest mistake” of the regime’s enemies was killing the elder Khamenei.
The son is reported to have authorised negotiations with President Trump’s administration, but also appears determined to reassure the regime’s hardline ideological base.
In his statement broadcast today in Iran, Mojtaba Khamenei said that the slogans “Death to America” and “Death to Israel” would “continue to be the slogans of the Islamic Ummah, especially its youth”.
He continued: “The region will not return to past conditions, and Washington will no longer have a safe place to maintain military bases in the region.”
Mojtaba Khamenei has not been seen publicly since he took the position of Supreme Leader, replacing his father who was killed in an air strike on Tehran on the opening day of the recent campaign by the US and Israel…

Khamenei sure doesn’t seem like he wants to play nice in his neighborhood. Maybe it’s time to apply stronger discipline. Get out your bigger stick, Mr. President.
I think any smart politician in Iran would tell the doom-sayers, “Please STFU.” These crazy people are shooting the level-headed statesmen’s efforts to end the crisis in the foot. They used to be really good at hiding their intentions until it was too late for the victims to do anything. (England is in the “too late” phase.) Telling the people who are afraid of you and have the power to continue the war, “If you don’t kill us all now while you have the chance then in fifteen years we will kill all of you,” is probably counterproductive.

Coincidentally the late Henry Kissinger said back in 2015 or so that it was likely Israel (the nation, of course) would not exist past another ten years or so.

This means more and more “gifts” of US weapons to Israel...... financed by US taxpayers through Foreign Military Financing (FMF) grants......and not, as we have been incessantly told.....a “direct purchase” by Israel from US arms mfgs.
The U.S. has provided over $124 billion in cumulative military assistance since 1946, with annual aid structured via 10-year Memorandums of Understanding (MOU), most recently $38 billion from 2019–2028.
Key Aspects of U.S. Military Aid to Israel Funded by US Taxpayers:
Approximately 80% to 90% of US government-brokered arms to Israel use FMF “grants” (read US tax dollars), rather than sales, with over $16.3 billion in tax dollars provided between Oct 2023 and Oct 2025.
Israel alone is permitted to use a portion of these US tax funds (around $775 million tax dollars for FY2023) to purchase weapons from its own thriving domestic arms industry.
The Arms Export Control Act (AECA) and the Foreign Assistance Act (FAA) guide these US weaponry gifts to Israel (the President can waive restrictions on providing weapons to countries accused of “human rights” violations.)
Beyond the annual MOU, Congress provides supplemental emergency funding, such as the $3.5 billion in FMF and $5.2 billion for missile defense passed in April 2024.
While some arms transfers are commercial, the majority of the major defense articles are supplied through this specialized US-tax-funded gifts system.
Biden supplied Israel with an extra $12.9 billion tax dollars during his term during an election year.
Since 1973, Israel has received more than $120 billion US tax
dollars in military assistance alone, including “three extra US special aid” packages.
