Vanessa Trump, 48, announced she was recently diagnosed with breast cancer.
'I want to share a personal health update. I've recently been diagnosed with breast cancer. While this isn't news anyone expects, I'm working closely with my medical team on a treatment plan,' Vanessa Trump said in a post on her Instagram page.
Without offering any details, Vanessa Trump said she had a procedure this week.
"I would like to thank my doctors for performing a procedure earlier this week on me," she wrote.
"I am staying focused and hopeful while surrounded by the love and support of my family, my kids and those closest to me. Thank you for your kindness and support, it truly means more than I can express," she said.
Trump's former daughter-in-law asked for privacy as she focuses on her health and recovery.
Prayers poured in after Vanessa Trump announced her breast cancer diagnosis.
"Praying for your continued strength and a swift recovery. Love you mama," Ivanka Trump said.
"In our thoughts and prayers," a social media user said.
"Praying for you, Vanessa," another said.

Cancer is a horrible diagnosis, but God is good all the time and with Him all things are possible.

My wife is being treated for stage 3 breast cancer. It is survivable, but oh, the journey to get there is a devil.
My friend’s sister recently had a double mastectomy she is 36 yrs old found the cancer early thank God..now has to take tamoxifin for 10 yrs to prevent recurrence. Praying for Vanessa and her family hopefully it was found early

My youngest son, age 48 at the time (2019), was diagnosed with Stage 3 colon cancer. They did two resections, took out about 90% of his colon, and about 70 lymph nodes. He's lucky he didn't end up with a colostomy. He went through 6 months of two different types of chemo, and remains cancer free.

My now passed oldest friend's husband has a twin sister. They are about 80 now. Their family was riddled with all types of cancer. Breast and cervical cancer, as well as stomach cancer and cancer of the esophagus took several of their siblings and nieces. Many years ago, the twins took the test to find out about their chances of getting cancer. His test was negative. Hers was positive. The doctor told her it wasn't a matter of if she'd get cancer, it was a matter of when she'd get it. She had both her breasts removed, and had reconstructive surgery. That had to be at least 20 years ago. She remains cancer-free.
Her brother, my best friend's husband was diagnosed with cancer of the larynx and pharynx about 10 years ago. He went through intensive radiation and chemo treatments. The radiation changed his facial structure so much, that the first time I saw him after his treatments ended, I didn't recognize him. The radiation also destroyed his salivary glands. He cannot produce saliva at all. He's still cancer free. Everybody figured he'd be the one to pass first, but his wife, my best friend for over 40 years died from Covid last June. She'd been a smoker for many years, was diagnosed with COPD about 15 years ago, and the Covid finished destroying her lungs.

Or it could be a very subtle dig, indicating that Vanessa exists, for the Trumps, just as the mother of Don, Jr.'s children.
My wife had a mastectomy a year ago. Stage 1.
We’re not very impressed with the establishment. She found out yesterday that there were supposed to be follow up MRI’s a few months ago which she was never told about.

I will never understand why people choose to share their medical issues with others.
