ransomnote: President Trump and his family dropped their claim to monetary compensation for their lawsuit in order to provide the money for this J'6er fund.
@FreeStateWillThe Supreme Court found that the government illegally charged hundreds of J6ers with a 20-year felony. Every American should be livid about that!
If you don't support restitution for those whom the government illegally damaged, you are anti-American!

~~~TRANSCRIPT BEGINS
Reporter: The Justice Department has this new fund that was announced today - $1.7 billion. Why should the tax payers pay for the January 6'ers?
President Trump: Well, it's been very well received; I have to tell you. I know very little about it. I wasn't involved in the whole creation of it, and the negotiation.
But this is re-imbursing people that were horribly treated, horribly treated. It's anti-weaponization. They've been weaponized, and they've been, in some cases, imprisoned wrongly. They paid legal fees that they didn't have. They've gone bankrupt. Their lives have been destroyed, and they turned out to be right.
I mean, it was a terrible period of time in the history of our country, and they worked on it. I know the Justice Department has really been working on it very hard. There's been numerous ocaisions over the years where things like this have been done, but these were people that were weaponized and reallly treated brutally by a system that was so corrupt, with corrupt people running it, and they're getting re-imbursed for their legal fees and the other things that they had to suffer.
@GeriPerna
She says 1.7 billion as if that is enough to compensate over 1600 people. Many spent years in prison, many lost their life savings, retirements, careers, and are unable to find employment. Several were denied medical treatment and died because if it. My nephew Matthew Perna killed himself along with 4 others. That number is not exclusive to just J6ers...it simply isn't enough.
Yes, the actual award amount for the fund is $1.776 billion.This figure comes directly from the U.S. Department of Justice announcement and related settlement documents. It is drawn from the federal Judgment Fund (a permanent appropriation for settling claims against the government) as part of resolving Trump's $10 billion IRS lawsuit over the unauthorized leak of his tax returns. Trump and his co-plaintiffs (Donald Trump Jr., Eric Trump, and the Trump Organization) receive a formal apology but no direct monetary damages; they dropped their suit and other claims in exchange for creating this fund.justice.govOfficial Documentationjustice.govThe fund is overseen by a five-member commission, processes claims through ~December 2028 (with any remainder reverting to the government), and is open to claims of government "weaponization/lawfare" (no explicit partisan test mentioned in the announcement).
The perpetrators of this horrible fascism need to be sued into homelessness. And imprisoned.
Only way to stop them short of hanging.
I agree with you. Those people were imprisoned, often in solitary confinement and in cells that were scheduled to close due to mold and water leaks.
They were denied basic human rights, some were not actually charged or convicted for several years. Those that were convicted found themselves in kangaroo courts. Attorneys were scared to defend them because doing c=so would cost them their careers.
They deserve every penny of this and anyone, from court clerks on up who participated in this perversion of justice need to be hunted down and prosecuted.
Weird how quiet the MSM is on all this. Why it’s almost as if they were willing co-conspirators in the illegal prosecutions.
They were willing participants. The MSM (including Fox News) were all too willing to paint the J6er people as insurrectionists. That was the buzzword they jammed down everyone's throat and places like MSNBC/MSNOW and CNN will still use that verbiage.
NPR was on it this morning. See, the so-called restitution is just a slush fund to reward MAGA types, despite their criminality, along with Trump’s attempt to overthrow the 2020 election.
Yeah, willing co-conspirators.
The real crime is the entire false flag operation of the DEMONcratic “party” and its judicial operatives. I WANT THESE PEOPLE IN PRISON OR EXECUTED!
“the relevant SCOTUS ruling was made in June 2024, nearly two years ago, so the headline and the X post are all complete bullshit except for the restitution part ...”
I hate it when people post old Supreme Court cases as “Breaking News” while at the same time misrepresenting the actual application of the Court’s opinion. Others that do not know any better then repost the comment and it spreads like wildfire.
Speaking of SCOTUS, the court will be releasing opinions at 10 tomorrow morning. I’ll start the thread around 9:45 a.m. We have 33 pending decisions for this term.
Retribution must be the death penalty
Such action destroys the fabric of the Republic and must be a capital crime
Where are the prison sentences for these civil rights violations?
....
This looks like one term of surrender that your govt has had to put in place because of the long train of abuses and usurpations that’s been happening, especially since Trump came down an escalator.
In a sane world, Congress should pass a bill dissolving the DC Circuit Court and the DC District courts and transferring the jurisdiction of those courts to a different region (without transferring the so-called judges and disbarring them and cancelling their pensions.
Poster is anti trump pretty much therefore J6 not on his radar much
A purist
We have a few here
Yeah, I spotted it with their comment..
Not actually complaining about the abuse is a tell they can’t hide.
I remember watching live as the temporary fence marking ‘no trespassing’ area was taken down just as the crowd located 1/8th mi away turned in that direction. That was all the tell I needed to see a setup.
Who’ll swing for it or face prison time? Oh that’s right, nobody!
I might cut her a little slack.
Her “dissent” was on procedural grounds. The decision was safely
affirmed and Barrett knew that her dissent would not change the
outcome.
What, to make it look more bi-partisan? Marching orders from Roberts
