Florida detectives are pursuing a group of teenagers whose late-night joyride across a local golf course left the pristine landscape scarred by deep tire tracks and thousands of dollars in property damage.
It happened around 7:17 p.m. on Saturday, April 18, at the Weston Hills Golf Course, according to the Broward Sheriff’s Office (BSO).
Deputies responding to reports of suspicious activity arrived to find evidence of significant damage to the course’s greens. A witness at the scene told deputies that several juveniles had been riding motorized bikes and a golf cart across the course.
The scale of the disruption was captured in a video shared by local authorities, which allegedly shows the teenagers weaving through the landscape with a disregard for the property that officials say will cost thousands to repair.

Florida Teens become Florida Men....................
Doing donuts in the sand traps.................
Thank God there were no phones with video when I was young. We used to do things like this all the time.
I never really did much stuff like this as a teen. My brother did enough for both of us................
Confiscate and destroy the bikes, fine the hell out of them and sentence them to mowing the grass for a year.
Really? Then you should have been in juvey. Nothing g cute about causing throusands in damages to others’ property
When I lived in Broward County, some teens did this same exact thing, except it was done on a Seminole burial ground on their reservation.
The tribal cops caught them and confiscated their bikes and kicked them off the reservation after calling their parents.
They complained to the Broward sheriff’s department but were told they had no authority on Seminole land.............
Smarter than the time my step brother and I were driving around on the runways at Houston Intercontinental Airport.
In a way I bet the groundskeeper sort of likes this challenge and opportunity to show off his talents in fixing the problem.
Many years ago if teens behaved poorly they actually would be sentenced to cutting grass all summer in the cemetery. In those days they used heavy metal mowers that had to be pushed by hand.
Those things could easily do thousands of dollars’ worth of damage to a golf course.
Paging Carl Spackler White Courtesy Phone.
Excellent idea.
Rather than mowing I can see these teens getting long, hot, hard lessons in the landscape repair trade.
Exactly.
Those things could easily do thousands of dollars’ worth of damage to a golf course.
Introduce them to the joys of bustin’ rocks.
Back in the day, we learned to drive stick at age 12 in my friend’s Dad’s ancient Toyota truck.
But we drove it AROUND the golf course on streets, and returned it to exactly where it was parked. With some additional clutch wear.
We weren’t savages…just a little GTA.
> I never really did much stuff like this as a teen. <
Neither did I. I didn’t fear the law.
I feared my parents.
