This is the discovery of two men who were trying to escape from the city under the eruption of Asuvius. One of them was trying to cover his head with a mortar and a terra cotta vase.
We have proposed for the first time a scientific reconstruction together with the University of Padua using artificial intelligence. I believe this is a tool that will become increasingly important in the future, not only to deal with the vast amount of data emerging at Pompei and other sites to protect such fragile and extensive heritage like the city of Pompei, but also to present this complex and rich heritage to an increasingly diverse audience.

Speaking of Pink Floyd, uh, okay, we weren’t, but you see the connection, “Lunatic” and David Bowie’s “Major Tom” have an awfully similar musical line. Never noticed that before. The Bowie connection is, he’s as dead as this guy who tried to escape Pompeii.
“Escape from Pompeii”, not starring Kurt Russell. Yet.
I like that "diversity" was snuck in at the end. How 21st century of them!
Have you noticed how you can find "diversity" everywhere these days? Why, just a few days ago, I was hiking around the Charleston Slough in Mountain View, CA and came across this diversity. I searched high and low for some nearby "DEI," but it was elusive.

You need a time machine to see it. Limited showing in roman bath houses with a limited theater Christmas release, although many romans were asking ‘Quid est Christmas?’
Speculation at best...
Cannot be proven wrong. Or proven correct. It’s just somebody saying “Hey guys! I have an idea! And I need a grant!”

The song was inspired by Siouxsie's visit to the excavated ruins of Pompeii and Herculaneum.
I think she wrote that while on the beach near the ruins, and everyone had matching towels. Oh wait, that was the B-52s...
(original was done by a W Mich band “Home”, this is a re-recording by one of the original members, and probably the writer of the tune)
