Fox News has reported a power struggle has broken out within Iranian leadership and a potential coup could be taking place against the new supreme leader.
"Tonight there could be a coup, no-one knows who's calling the shots," Fox News' political commentator and host Jesse Watters said.
Watters said that the US delegation, comprising of Vice President JD Vance, Special Envoy to the Middle East Steve Witkoff and Special Envoy for Peace Jared Kushner, were supposed to leave for Islamabad, Pakistan for negotiations with Iran.
Watters claimed the Iranian delegation never left Iran. He went on to say that Trump confimed Iran's Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei authorised the deal.

Mahyar Tousi said the initial batch of arms we sent partially got to the Iranian people and partially were kept by the Kurds. He also said there have been new arms received as well. He has sources inside Iran, including his father and sister.
The explosions that went off yesterday were not bombs from the US. He hypothesized that it was either Iranians or IRGC firing on their own. Have to wait and see what shakes out, I guess.
I checked with two AI sources and there is no conventional coup going on. What’s happening is IRGC is gradually taking over the government.
Power is shifting toward military leadership without formally replacing the system and civilian leaders are being sidelined quietly.
So they can augment the armed forces of Iran in killing our soldiers?

Need to deal with the IRGC AND the Basij - both are slaughtering citizens.
You are correct. Lots of people on this forum have no clue about Iran.
Foreign coups are so messy.

The autopen is transferred bloodlessly.
ROTFLMAO!!
He’s been hitting missile launchers and ammo depots among other military targets to limit their offense which is fine, but not congregations of their IRGC troops and IRGC armored ground hardware that control the populace. Since IRGC has now taken over and hijacked the civilian government and negotiations, switching to focusing on targeting them directly in the next wave might make sense.
We know where alll the gas stations are. I’ve always thought if you took out the gas stations in a country then it would grind to halt for a little bit.
“I think it would be bad form for us to resort to a scorched earth approach while common sense still has a chance at prevailing over an unmitigated aftermath. Peace through strength should bring peace with honor.”
Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan and Iraq(again) called. They want their wars back
I did not say that, you did.
