So, no I would not say some poll in 2026 is indicative of opening doors for alternatives in 2028.
The house is a loss this fall, if the democrats can’t flip less than a handful of seats in a midterm where they are completely out of power, then they are done at least as a national party.
At this point in terms of 2028, we will see where things stand in 2027. 1 poll claiming Vance is the least loved VP in spring 2026 is indicative of nothing meaningful.
If its still at that level among an average of polling in mid to late 2027, then you would likely see the field open up. However, at this stage, no I wouldn’t write much into it.
