Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) responded to photos of him at Disney World over the weekend in the midst of a partial government shutdown.
Graham was seen at the theme park in Florida on Friday and Saturday with a bubble wand while waiting in line to get on the Space Mountain ride.
“I was invited to a meeting in South Florida on Friday with Trump official Steve Witkoff … to talk about the possibility of normalization between Saudi Arabia and Israel,” Graham told TMZ in a statement, which was also shared with The Hill.
“I went to Orlando to meet friends after. I’m already back in South Carolina,” he added, urging TMZ to call a Democrat to discuss the shutdown.
Images of Graham emerged after TMZ requested photos of lawmakers away from Washington during the shutdown.

On Monday, the South Carolina senator posted a picture of himself hunting with a gun in Edgefield County, S.C., after receiving pushback for vacationing while Transportation Security Administration (TSA) staff are being asked to work without pay.
The Department of Homeland Security, which houses TSA, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Border Patrol, and the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, among other agencies, has been shut down for more than 45 days.
The House and Senate are in a standoff over whether to fund immigration agencies as Democrats push for reforms following the deaths of two U.S. citizens at the hands of federal authorities.

It’s not the shutdown that’s the clincher. It’s the war...There are already mothers and fathers who have been lost that will never get to go to Disneyworld with their children.
A 70-year-old unmarried male alone at Disney World. Nothing creepy at all about that.

Going to Disney doesn’t register as strange to me, because lots of people like to do amusement parks. However, the plastic wand is a telltale to strangeness.
I’m sick and tired of people making fun of Miss Graham.

So never mind.
I was stationed in Orlando for Nuke School. During that time Epcot opened . Not a lot of visitors at the time . Disney used to be a name that guaranteed quality. Now it is an automatic rejection for me.
Nonsense. Disneyland can be interesting and fun for any age. I had a friend who moved to CA with her husband, and the first thing she did was go to Disneyland - even before Rodeo Drive.
I’d go, if I lived nearby.

That’s the main reason why the optics of Graham at Disneyworld are so bad. Not the shutdown, but the war. He’s become the political face of it and of any potential escalation. Albeit he has since toned his rhetoric down, thank God.
When I saw “Lindsey Graham” and “Disney World” in the same headline, I assumed the story would be about him being arrested for soliciting in a men’s bathroom at the resort.
