A suspected meteorite crashed through the roof of a woman's home in Houston.
Authorities believe it may have been a piece of a three-foot meteor that was seen over the area on Saturday afternoon.

Initially, Ellingham's team told James that the rock had likely fallen from a plane, before leaving her home. They returned a short time later and revised their hypothesis, now saying it likely was part of the meteor.
James said she was a little scared during the impact, but added that she's definitely going to keep the rock, which she described as being very heavy.
NASA has since confirmed there was a meteor that first became visible 49 miles above Stagecoach, a small town northwest of Houston.

James said the rock tore a hole through the roof, landed in her daughter's bedroom, ricocheted off the floor and back into the ceiling before landing on her bed

Zing!

The surprised mother:
What are the odds of a repeat of the story of Ann Hodges who was struick by a metorite in 1954?
Within a hundred years? What is it with women being hit by rocks from space?
I was in Detroit and had just rented a car to drive to Dallas and was in stopped traffic on I-94 just outside of Detroit Metro airport when a jet took off and passed over the freeway. Right while it was passing over I heard what sounded like a loud nearby explosion. I thought the plane had dropped something but I couldn’t see anything. When traffic finally started moving again I saw crack developing in my windshield and realized that loud explosion I heard was something, probably a tiny stone, hitting my windshield and likely from the overhead aircraft since no nearby trucks for trailing fast enough to kick up anything. I had to pay $150 for a new windshield but it was worth it to not get hit by something.
She looks like she was intentionally “targeted”.
Two heavy objects.
Very fortunate that no one was injured; if she isn't a churchgoer, now's the time to be one.
I would take it as an omen
Yikes!
Wonder how much it weighs. Could be worth some $$$$$
She has her own gravitational pull; hence the meteorite.
The meteorite;
The surprised mother;
The million dollar purchase fee.
Perhaps she said something that upset some space aliens?
May it’s a sign that they should start a religion with one! 👶
but now she’s Rich
God does not play pinball! (Einstein's Corollary)
It looks like an overcooked brisket
It landed on her daughter’s bed. That bed is now a curiosity worth added value. I can see Ripley’s museum displaying it.
How lucky the daughter was not sleeping at the time!
Keep it! Don’t sell it, but let the Universities study it, and then when the value goes through the roof, sell it...
