During a boil in the bag funeral, the body is wrapped in a biodegradable shroud, often made of silk or wool, and placed in a pressurised steel chamber.
The tank is then filled with a liquid made up of 95 per cent water and five per cent of an alkaline chemical such as potassium hydroxide.
The body is heated to 150°C (302°F) under pressure, which ensures that it does not actually 'boil'.
Over three to four hours, this replicates the natural processes of decomposition that would normally take decades to occur inside a coffin.
Finally, the resulting liquid is cooled, treated, and poured into the drains, where it is processed alongside normal wastewater.

I didn’t look to see if others had answered your question, but here’s what I found:
Can you have a natural burial in the US?
Yes, absolutely. Currently, there are some 220 natural burial cemeteries in the US. Only a few are designated Conservation Ground burial sites that specifically aim to restore natural habitat. A large number are Natural Burial cemeteries, and then there are hybrid cemeteries. Hybrid cemeteries are existing traditional cemeteries that have adopted a section specifically for green burial.

Or, you could donate yourself to a Body Farm. They leave you out in the open to decomp so CSI types can learn how the body decomposes in various scenarios to better estimate the time of death in murders.
I feel a sudden need to watch a few episodes of ‘Six Feet Under,’ LOL!
Why don’t they just use a wood chipper and feed it to the fish or the pigs. Same level of respect as getting combined with wastewater

There is nothing to filter under high pressure and low PH even calcium phosphate dissolves that’s teeth and bone chemically. Hence the 300+C and pressure. This is also what we do to animal remains to recover the oil, proteins and minerals if you don’t go to as high of a temp and pressure you get oil th at floats, liquid hydrolysis proteins in the water solvable part and a goo of semi solid minerals mainly calcium, phosphorus and iron , the salts are in the water phase. You adjust the ph of the water phase and the proteins drop out as solids this is for pet food, you dewater the goo and it’s calcium rich fertilizer and the oils go to soap or biodiesel use.
There are ways to do it at room temp and pressure that the CSI’s of the world don’t want published for obvious reasons. Acid by itself won’t do it. You need at least two reagents as a former CID I know exactly how to dissolve a body completely.
“Do people HAVE to be dead to apply this amazing technology to them? Asking for a friend.”
Yeah. I laughed. Way too loud. Shame on me. ;)
Just wrap chains to the feet of your corps and drop overboard.
As you sink thousands of feet, your body compresses to a point where as it implodes on itself. There will no bones, just goo.
This just sounds awful.
That’s how Jewish people handle it.
Sounds like something Walter White invented after Jesse made a hole in the floor trying to dissolve a body in the bathtub.
Do they sell the entire kit? Just in case the funeral homes are busy, ya’ understan.
I wouldn’t do that to anyone I loved.
Feels wrong. We came from the earth and should be returned.

I have personally drained thousands of gallons of Holy water down the drain, as I maintained a font at Catholic church for several years.
Priest said no problem, as it returns to the earth.
Seems to be a parallel here..
However, I somewhat agree with you.
Well water to well water and ashes to dust?
You’ve never had to dispose of a body, I see.
What about the ones you don’t love?
Disgusting! It is finally being admitted that there are folks who think human beings are garbage or should be dissolved and used as fertilizer!
I’m going to be cremated, and my ashes spread alongside my brother’s grave. I have thought long and hard about cremation versus burial. Flushing me down a toilet is a step too far.
It's different because people are doing it. The critters don't have any sense of human dignity; they are just eating. Humans do have a sense of human dignity, and too many of them enjoy violating it.
