Chilling photos show the tense moments President Trump and Vice President Vance orchestrated the monumental strikes on Iran while hundreds of miles apart.
Trump, wearing a “USA” cap, led discussions from Mar-a-Lago with his national security team, pictures shared by the White House show.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio, White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Gen. Dan Caine, joined the president in monitoring the mission.
Vance oversaw a second cohort of officials from the Situation Room in DC, which was dialed in to the Mar-a-Lago operations.
Seated at the head of the table, Vance was joined by US Secretary of Energy Chris Wright, Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent.
White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt had said earlier Saturday that Trump would be monitoring the situation in the Middle East from Mar-a-Lago — where he is spending the weekend at his club in Palm Beach, Florida.

I always thought that picture of Hillary, in contrast to Obama at the Bin Laden mission, was complementary to Hillary and her demeanor. She looks like she is concerned for our men. Obama looked like he was furious.
I’m liking Rubio at the top. His calm demeanor is appealing.
That's because he probably shot over par on the golf course he'd just come back from. He was MIA during the whole 2012 Benghazi attack . To this day, no one knows where he was. The day after the attack, he blamed the video for the attack, then flew to Las Vegas for a campaign event. Right after it was publicly announced on August 19, 2014 that U.S. journalist James Foley had been beheaded in Syria, Obama went golfing.
To me she seems concerned or horrified, or something less than 100% focused and emotion free, which isn’t observing, analyzing, evaluating, and thinking, which is what I want, and expect, from a leader.
Agree and he’s about 10 years older than Vance. I don’t think any of us thought Rubio would excel as a diplomat...he has indeed...beyond our wildest expectations.

If you ever read the Benghazi report, the reason Amb Stevens was in Libya was he was prepping for a Hillary visit in November of that year. The folks in Benghazi didn't want the Amb their because it was too hot let alone Hillary.

He finally has the job and power he always wanted. He is not wasting any time.
He can, and is, getting that as VP.
If you are suggesting Rubio as the presidential candidate, Vance can still remain as the VP candidate on the ticket.
Though another option is Vance just holds over the Trump cabinet, including Rubio as SOS. Cabinet secretaries don’t have “terms” - once confirmed, they can stay until they resign or are fired by the President. They don’t have to be confirmed again - so that would help avoid confirmation fights to start a Vance administration.

right - the captions say they are “chilling” photos - I see nothing “chilling” about them - they are very serious, but nothing “chilling” - serious people doing a serious job during a serious situation.

Never said he was a monger. I said he now has the job and power to get things done that he couldn’t before.
Yeah.
Nobody cared that Obama went in and did the Libya thing. No Congressional approval, no butthurt media. Surprised he didn’t get another Nobel Prize for that.
Trump can’t do anything right in their eyes. Even when he’s making the world a better, safer place.
He’s not starting a forever war. He’s ending one.
